  2. What do u guys rekon? its got all authentic parts and everything...im thinking the mods will add at least an extra 400kw...i rekon it could beat a stock GTR easily.
  3. just as a follow up, i just got off the phone to the RAC with some pretty good news... they quoted me $3920 per year for a 1998 subaru WRX to a value of $25,000 then they quoted me $1960.37 for the same car under my mums name with me as a nominated driver.. im pretty happy with this price, and altho dissapointed i cant get my preferred skyline, still happy with a WRX hope this info helps any others that are in the same boat as me thanks fellas
  4. ok cool, well i get my mum to ring up and get me as a nominated driver, hopefully that will b ok. ive got new respect for anyone whos got a turbo import now, after my insurance experiences... thanks
  5. serious? how old are u exactly? is it under ur name? when did u get the car insured???
  6. ok, well ill find out about insurance 4 the wrx and hopefully that will turn out ok...doubt it tho, turbos and p platers dont mix as far as insurance companies are concerned...=/ i just hope im not stuck with 25 grand stuck to spend on a ****ing commodore... thanks for the help boys, ill let u know how it all turns out.
  7. nope, havent tried GCU yet, ill give them a try tomorro if theyre open.. any suggestions for other cars other than wrx's and skylines that are nice for around 25g? with gay insurance in mind or course
  8. hrm, does anyone know anything about the insurance that subaru themselves offer? would they insure someone like me with a wrx?
  9. how are they on insurance tho? i cant afford mega high premiums =/ do u know any companies that will insure p platers with wrx's? or are they just as bad as skylines??
  10. im on the phone to a hbf lady now, shes really nice, telling me abour her brothers skyline, she siad they wont insure imports at all for people on their p plates... her bros is non turbo, hes 19, and insured by hbf tho she also told me to check out some insurance brokers in the yellow pages. hrm, what would be some other nice cars for 25g that i should start looking at if i cant get insurance for a gtst??
  11. not yet, ill try them now. ive tried: western qbe SGIO RAC suncorp famous shannons dawes fortron no luck, suncorp quoted my mum $15,000 a year, and said no other drivers...wicked..
  12. that sucks so much. I spoke to 'famous car insurance' earlier on today, they told me that if i had had my licence for 12 months, they would insure me for a r33 gts-t valued at $25,000 for $3500 a year. maybe they can help u out seeing as uve had ur licence for 2 years. So pretty much i should stop looking at skylines then?
  13. Hi, im 17 and have had my licence for 6 months. Im looking to buy a r33 gts-t, but the only way i can is if someone will insure me:( . Is there anyone that knows an insurance company in perth that will insure someone like me. thanks
