  1. Hey guys am in the process of converting my dr30 from fj20 to rb25, i am in 2 minds to whether i can actualy be bothered mucking around with the power steering stuff as they are on apposing sides, Just wanted to know how do people with no power steering, steering boxs go? are they massivly heavy to drive and control (I only use mine on the track)

I had and rb20 r31 and the belt slipped off once and farking hell its was night mare to drive, will the r30 be the same?

    cheers josh

  2. ok cheers ben i will give him a ring on tuesday and see what the go is, apparently the fuel pump needs to be rewired as the gtr pump goes from 7 to 12v ? and something to do with the afm part of the ecu, but not sure that was only a rough description i got of whats going on. will update the full story when i know, as its a very interesting approach in my opinion, I would be more then happy to get dr drift/the speed lab to tune it, but by buying a powerfc means i can get the tune adjusted easily here and also it becomes my resource to find out whats going on with the engine,

  3. well surely there can't be too much to it, if its only changing the wiring thats no hassles at all for me, i just need to know what goes where. I have also seen another memeber on here running the 26 pfc, I have since sent him a pm but waiting for a reply. find that link haha

  5. hey guys i am soon to replace my manifold and turbo so i have my current setup for sale,

Stock t3 manifold had both manifold to head and turbo to manifold surfaces machined, also the exhaust housing on the turbo was machined so i don't run a gasket between manifold and and turbs, Turbo is an rb20det t3 comes with dump pipe and oil return lines fitted.

    $300

also hks t04 manifold with hks external gate attached $300

    cheers josh

  6. yeah as above but i also put it on cause a friend had it lying around and was easily accesable, But definatly not aiming for mega power, more a keep the car going and on the track turbo until i decide what i am going to do in regards to a bigger one, all good.

rb20s are stil making 170 or there abouts with boost increase's and aftermarket ecus, this has 550cc injectors and a microtech so i would be aiming around that.

  7. Hey guys my brother and i bought this dr30 from queensland in october last year, had to put a new master cylinder in it so at that time i also slapped a hydraulic handbrake in it, the turbo was also rooted so i bought a to4b .60 and 1.15 rear housing, made 179rwks on 11psi but wasn't making any decent boost till well over 4000rpm, so after my first outing in the car it was sold,

I have now just finished putting a stock manifold back on with a rb20det t3. its not going to be a power house but i needed the response back on the cheap so this was the way i did it,

First time drifting i had a shit of a time in it, this time out it should be awesome i have adjustable castor, alot more steering lock and a responsive engine, I also had to change the diff over to a 260z one as i couldn't track one down at all so a few little mods were required to make that fit but all good now.

Any way i'll stop rambling and show some pics

  8. Well my engine has shat it's self, well not really but it needs a new front and rear crank shaft seal and lifters are a bit ticky. So the turbo stuff is coming back off it and is up for sale, Have had it all running and well. Not driven yet though as my suspension isn't completed yet

    This is what i have

    VLT injectors and rail

High flowed T3 no shaft movement at all.

    VLT Cross over pipe

    VLT computer

AVO Blow off vavle plumb back and vents

    VLT exhaust manifold

    Standard dump pipe

    Malpassi Rising rate regulator.

Comes with every thing you need to bolt straight on to an rb30 n/a or turbo motor, even the banjo bolts for water and oil line.

Would prefer to sell complete $950

I am going to put an rb20 or a 25 in my skyline instead.

  9. Good aye might be a bit late on the scene

    1987 Silhoutte 5spd. 16'7s and 16'8s.

Is all standard bar a cd player.

Just doing the suspension now, Nolethane bushes, Noltec adjustable strut tops, Whiteline 27mm swaybar, Not sure if i will buy there strut brace yet or get our local car guru to make one up. Custom 350lb front springs with kyb shocks and 220lb rears with Biltens out of GTS2. old but better than standard shocks. Should sit about 40mm at the front and 55mm lower at the rear.

Just using DBA slotted disc, with a bendix advance at present (because it's cheap and still works well)

I am picking all my rb30 turbo bits on friday Arvo, but i have decided to sell them straight away as the cash is needed more than the motor. So if any one wants a complete conversion Rb30e to Rb30et, with front mount, blow off valve, all piping to suit, manual ecu. Do have the turbo block as well but it needs pistons as it has cracked one. No bore damage. http://forum.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?...p?topic=19967.0.

  10. That bright green one was being sprayed out at moonah (over the rd from shiners) when a mate and i went to look at a 4 door 32.

Looks ok i suppose. Some importer bloke from melbourne brought it down

  11. my q to you is does ur car break traction on thirds??????

cause i noe i do :kick:

i think it will be more than 160rwkw cause thats all u said i can make on a T28, ur car makes 167rwkw  and i made 158rwkw b4 the rebuild so noe i figure it would be more than 160rwkw

can you beat da EVo1 by the way cause i can!!!!!

I reckon the bluey would probably spin 4th, I've been in it before when it was first built on 7psi and it was a wheel spining machine, and a 13 second car to boot

I like the skylines, but go the bluey
