  1. Duncan: Yeah i know what you mean about the collectors side of things, but when the car arrived from japan it had a fair bit done to it already (suspension, mines computer, stainless manifolds/full exhaust, guages) so i figured there was no point keeping it standard. As for aircon, i can always take it back out again later! Theres pulleys, and holes to set everything up so won't be a big job, i went through one summer and it gets ridiculous on long drives.

Tommy: I'll likely be in Sydney next weekend (16th April), give me a call and we'll sort it out!

  2. Come to think of it, i'd steer away from putting it in front of the radiator, my car always gets pretty hot in the water department and stays that way for a while, however, (funnily enough), the oil temp is always under control, reads 70 on those nismo dials and i've never seen it above 90 even when i was giving it a bit at the track.

My problem is i'm thinking of putting air con in and trying to decide where to put the condensor, there's room to jam it between the oil cooler and radiator but i might use that as an excuse to move the oil cooler somewhere else.

Let me know how you go!

  3. What are you after in a car? Thats probably what you need to look at. This question has been asked a number of times in the past. The best answer is R34 GTR!!!

I owned a standard R33 GTS-t for 2 years (not a R34 GTT, i know, but similar performance) before upgrading to my GTR. I found upgrading to the GTR to be as big a step up as when i first started driving the GTS-t.

As for comfort, the suspension is firm but the seats make up for it, passengers used to always falling asleep in my car on the highway and i have no air con (however, now i have Tein HA suspension!)

I use my GTR as a daily driver, its around 300awkw at the moment and never had a problem with it, i dont find the costs with it any different than with the GTS-t, slightly poorer fuel economy but i still manage to get around 13L/100km compared to 10-12L/100km.

  4. Mine was getting all the standard parts, plus the front brake rotors were stuffed, luckily the workshop had a set of brembos to put on for compliance, then i just chucked some slotted ones in afterwards.
