I think it actually looks alright tbh.

I've never yet managed to get a car to get firm brake pedal by repeatedly pumping the pedal while the engine is running.Reason... The motor keeps sucking the master cylinder into vacuum. If you're braking and then do a big down shift so you go from low RPM to high RPM you'll actually feel the pedal sink a little as the engine sucks into a deeper vacuum.

When the car is off the pedal should be hard.
When the car is on the brakes will be soft/softer due to power assist (Brake booster)
one way valve from the plenum? to the booster.
There may still be an issue but hard when off /softer when on is the way it should be.

Cool thread, like others have said it looks great! Good work.

Would love to go but still waiting on new front rotors. Won't have them till late Feb.
Man, I'm missing out heaps lately.

Another skyline stolen. Been happening a bit lately.
I have an alarm an 3 point immobilizer, but still use a club lock just for a extra deterrent and peace of mind.
Sorry for your loss man. Especially after owning it for a decade.

I know this is off topic, but in SA you are exempt from the 'no turbo on P plates'
If you are 25 years old or over.
Is this the same in other states or are turbo's outlawed altogether for P platers (in other states)?

I work in security. Heaps of work in Adelaide. Never done the monitoring side of things, more pubs, clubs and stuff.
Northern suburbs are great for work. Bit to close to Elizabeth for my liking, but if you got a fence and dog you will
Be fine. Mind you southern suburbs are not so good for work and can be just as bad
As the north for
Scummy ppl, especially Noarlunga area.
I'm not gonna give Adelaide the ultimate plug, but it ain't a bad place. I've lived on the far north coast of NSW an also spent time in Sydney.
My biggest hate about Adelaide.
The roads. Worst roads I have ever driven on. Uneven surfaces, pot holes, cracks, slopping roads to the point trucks can't use the left because of trailer slapping the stobby poles, There are gas mains every 100meters positioned right on the driving line so you smash the S**t out of your spension. Driving becomes a game of dodge ball (so to speak). It's extremely frustrating.
Especially if you love your car.
Other then that, Adelaide's fine.

What color/condition is the drivers side door?

The colt for sure. Think about it, it's lightweight and it has a turbo. The skyline is a whale and it has a turbo as well, so it comes down to weight.
If you wanna win, get rid of anything unnecessary for the car to actually run.
Stereo equipment
passenger seat
Rear seats
bonnet
front bar
rear bar
skirts
wing
Aircon
radiator (if the race is over a short distance and the car isn't running for more than a few minutes it's not really essential)
Consider even removing small things like the fuel filter, it all adds up
Get a hole saw and make numerous glory holes throughout the car. You'll need the airflow without your aircon and you'd be very surprised how much weight can be saved by shedding a bit of metal that is only there for structural integrity. Speed is more important.
Now, just before the race, open up the colt owners hatch and fill it with as much shit that you removed from your car as you can without him noticing. Be smart about it, don't stick shit on the passenger seat where he's likely to look. In the boot and the back will be good.
Always try to maximise your advantage by taking off before the lights turn green. There are a few reasons for this:
1. That split second of time that you gain by taking off before the light is green could turn into a car length before the next set of lights.
2. If you come close to hitting a car coming through the intersection, you may be fortunate enough to startle the colt driver and he will bodge his take off.
3. Everyone knows that if you go for it on green, you'll hit a truck reversing out of a driveway just beyond the finish line. If you leave the line a little early, your opponent will hit the truck, making his loss even more devestating. Not only did he lose to a shitbox, but he wrecked his car in the process.
There you have it, it is really that simple.
LOL!!!!!!!

My mate's 808 is a great example of a nice street sleeper, sure the whole old Mazda rotary has been done a lot but...
Smoothie wheels, red/white wall tyres, rear venetians and a sun visor.
Oh, and it also runs 10's with a full interior and numberplates - not bad!
That's awesome! :-)

I think it is a great idea restricting these cars from younger drivers..
At the end of the day they're the ones usually doing stupid sh*t in them and making what ever car they drive a target for the media and police. I hope these kids get put in Camry's. Only reason a young person wants a turbo is to go fast and drive like an idiot!
It's all about ego and status at that age and a performance car in the eyes of their friends and girls boosts both.
No wonder kids want performance cars... Put it this way, your 16 and want to impress a certain girl at school... She ain't gettIng hot over a friggin' Volvo.... But a WRX or Skyline. Young ones don't always buy these cars cause the
Have a passion for them like most of us do... They buy what ever boosts their status... Hence Tapout, UFC brand clothes. Lol!

Where is this info from, Im under the impression that no cars have been crushed at all in Australia and you need to be doing something pretty stupid for the police to impound a car.
The police are there to enforce the law, dont brake the law or be a tool and you will not have problems, easy.
I have never had a problem with the police unless it was my fault, even my stupidly modified car has never had a problem, maybe because I did it right and had it engineered and legal for use on NSW roads.
They were crushing cars here in SA (I live here) but have since stopped due to a court challenge.
Nearly 300 cars were crushed.

Man if I had the cash I'd take it off your hands.
If only this was a few months earlier. Spewing.

found stripped n burnt
So sorry to hear about your car man. It is shame that some ppl feel the need to do this sort of sh*t for fun.
The other aspect (besides the car being someone's pride and joy) is that now..... We have 1 less GTR in exsistance.
Every time I see something like this I think "there goes another one". Considering Skylines are no longer made, I feel these cars should be cherished, loved, and respected. Not treated like crap and smashed up or stolen and burnt out. Very sad some ppl's mentality.

Awesome thread.

If u can't figure out a simple thing like a f@&kin boost controller u shouldn't own a turbo car! Sell it and buy a holden
Never ask you for help.
Didnt expect this from a volvo driver. Take a chill pill bro.
OP, pics are your friend here.

The bloke is just asking for help u f**king dickwad.

Maybe you should buy a holden since your mental capacity is on par with the stereotypical bogan driver.
Anyway, on topic, throw up some pics as this would help a lot.
