Anyone fitted a top feed fuel rail had these problems?
-
I have Bosch top feed injectors, greddy plenum and hks copy top feed rail
-
Ok thanks can you tell me how the seals are arranged? I was using the round metal bosses that came with the fuel rail but as I said they were sloppy both internally and externally. Thanks
-
Hi there, it will allow gtst injectors to fit but I'm trying to get top feeds to seal properly..cheers

Hi there, I'm new to this forum..I have a few issues with the plenum/injector seals! I have a top feed setup with top feed Bosch injectors. The plenum came with 6 little bosses for top feed injectors. I have put the o rings on these and put the o rings on the injectors! The metal bosses are loose as buggers! I have been told to buy gtr seals and get the metal collar on each injector machined to allow the seals to go into the plenum with the injectors. This also means I will have to shorten the fuel rail spacers lowering the height of he rail..is there any other way of fitting top feed injectors creating a seal?
Thanks for any info

I think I have been sent the wrong studs...new ones on the way!

anyone?

hi, I have ran into another problem with my rb25 build..
I have a set of 202-5406 which are a custom arp kit with three extra long studs for the higher parts of the girdle. Now from what I have read the studs are wound in by hand until they bottom out and then you torque the nuts to 70lbft or so. The problem I have encountered is the studs seem to short.. with the girdle installed there is only 5mm of thread protruding out of the top! obviously by the time I have installed the washer, the nut will literally have two threads holding it...
can I just undo the stud a few turns to gain the threads for the nut?
I cant seem to find anyone who has had this problem..
what would be nice is a measurement of the stud for comparison to see if they have sent the wrong ones...
cheers for any info

NEOs have an N1 pump standard with 2x 1.25mm restrictors factory.
Youll be fine with 2x 1.2mm restrictors.
Thanks bud...

I've had front and rear with 1.2mm restrictors for some months now and no issues to report. Standard RB25DET oil pump.
Plus some engines are 1.2mm standard...

Hi thanks for the reply..im not sure if the n1 pump will a bit too much and accumilate in the head..do they flow a lot more than standard?
-
Im still a little unsure what would be the best...either to leave them all at 1.2mm or block the middle and drill the resar to 1.5mm..
Anyone left the at 1.2mm? Cheers for any info
-
so do you think I should just block the middle? or leave them as 1.2?
-
a few people have 1.2mm stock res's
-
What are you using the car for - street, circuit, drag, drifting? Is it going to be experiencing long periods of WOT?
hi mate, i would say a bit of all..but mainly fast road..just concerned about the stock 1.2mm restrictors. do you think i should block the middle one and leave the vvt and rear 1.2mm or drill them out to 1.5mm?

I intend to run a n1 pump..should I still block the middle/front gallery and leave the vvt and rear at 1.2mm?
-
Anyone else found this to be the case? And what restrictors they use? Cheers
-
I'm not sure tbh I think because the others are smaller means I don't need to block the middle? It would be nice to know for a fact though
-
hi no its not a neo as it has spec 1 cams came out of a 1994-5 car..thanks

Hi everyone my name is stef..I hope someone can offer me some advice as I have read this hole thread from start to finish!
I'm in the middle of a forged rb25det build with an n1 oil pump.. After reading this thread I have come to the conclusion that I need to leave the vvt, block the middle and restrict the rear to 1.5mm. Now upon stripping the engine which I believe has been untouched I have found that all three restrictor a are 1.2mm which has now confused me lol..should I still block the middle supply and drill the rear out to 1.5mm? Thanks for any help
