  1. Anyone know of a good place in brisbane to get a Rb25det neo rebuilt? 

    Parts I'll be getting fitted:
    Cp forged pistons and rings with 87mm bore 
    ACL main and Conrod bearings 
    Full Oem Nissan gasket kit with standard head gasket size 
    Arp head studs 
    N1 oil pump 


    Plus getting the crank balanced, block cleaned, honed, head rebuild, skimmed, oil galleries drilled out and what ever else needs to be done. 

  2. I have taken the intercooler and piping out and it had lots of oil in it. Gave it a clean, fitted an oil catch can to the car venting to atmo so no more oily fumes can get in there.

    Compression test showed up fine (160-165psi) so I thought I could rule out the head gasket.

    The engine has had a rebuild from previous owners. Not exactly sure what was done as I've lost the receipts 1st week of owning the car lol and knew nothing at the time about cars when reading the receipts, but surely a rb25 with over 200 000 km's with compression like that should be a good sign?

    The car has been smoking for some time and use to only smoke on idle sometimes and a lot on boost. But now it just constantly smokes.

  3. Hey guys, I have a R34 OP6 turbo which has been high flowed by GCG from previous owner.

    Car is blowing light blue/white smoke and I suspect the turbo seals are out. Car still boosts fine, checked shaft play of the turbo and it's fine, compression tested the engine and it was fine, checked intercooler piping and there was a bit of oil in there.

    So I was wondering am I able to buy the standard op6 turbo seals and change them? If so where can I get them from as I can't find any?

    Any help will be appreciated thanks.

  4. Help get my car on the road, it's been 15 months!!

    I've fixed a lot of things and all I need is a road worthy to get it on the road.

    Only things that probably won't pass would be the hicas light showing up on the dash board, from disabling the hicas system (obvs) and maybe my diff which I've shimmed.

    Would be great if anyone knew anyone or could point me in the direction of someone who would be able to help.

  5. Yes radiator is stuffed! Was going to source out a cheap oem radiator until I found a good deal on a brand new Koyo rad I couldn't pass up. He's also selling thermos for an extra $50 and insists on me buying them. So I was asking around for advice and decided I'm going to stick with the clutch fan.

  6. So it'll be alright just to change the radiator to an aftermarket one while keeping the factory fan with shrouds and everything else, yes?

    Just have a bunch of car guys at work saying I need to buy thermos when changing to aftermarket radiator... Then have other guys telling me I don't :P

  7. Hey guys,

    Changing my radiator this week and was wondering how important are thermo fans? Do you need to get them, or could I just change the radiator without them?

    Car is a R34 GTT 220kw daily driven for now although I plan to take it to the track in the future sometime.

    Any help will be appreciated.
