  1. Hi

I am often asked how much power is made on dyno.

Uploaded some Toshi tune dyno sheets.

Tune is road tuned and dyno tuned both.

Meer motorsport dyno around 7-8% lower number than MIA engine service dyno.

    Tuning $700.

    Nistune board and tune $1100.

  2. Hi all, I have an RB25det with Garrett 3076 running 14psi. Currently on standard manifolds and unopened motor. Basically wondering what would be next step for more power, have been told cam gears and 21psi wastegate spring then a suitable tune, what's everyone's opinions? Also I'm currently not sure what supporting mods the car has (I bought it the way it is mechanically) in terms of injectors, afm, coilpacks, fuel pump etc. so some advice on what supporting fuel and spark upgrades are needed would be great and/or what it more than likely has.

Z32 AFM or R35 GTR AFM , 550 or 740cc nismo injector if 98 octane fuel , boost controller HKS EVC or Blitz dual solenoid , bigger fuel pump.

Stock engine 17psi max for safe , 0.8m gap spark plugs.

  3. My exhaust is really mix and match, 2.75" china split dump, mild steel front pipe, stainless 3" from there to 2.5" muffler, back to 3" stainless with twin 3" tips. He said changing this to a straight 3" will really help. If the gains are shit after that, then to look at the cam timing.

It felt really responsive when I first put the turbo on last week, and that was with the ecu still tuned to big injectors and the 3071, definitely feels laggier since being tuned though.

It was determined that the VCT in this is not working, so I'm on the lookout for reasonably priced vct gears as well.

Comparing the graphs, this comes on a lot sooner than the 3071 60kph instead of 102, but full boost on this is at like 150, whereas the 3071 was 140.

The tuner is fairly reputable up here in Brisbane, but maybe I will try somewhere else after I change the exhaust.

While I'm here, is 3.5" exhaust setup going to be too big? Found a well priced stainless one secondhand, but not sure about the size...

    Also need check cat inside.

  4. stock turbos are getting on towards 20 years old now so the word reliable should really be avoided here; especially if you want to push more power at the wheels then it produced at the flywheel when new 20 years ago.

If you want to make 240kw at the wheels relatively cheaply and reliably you can do so with:

-hypergear hyflow turbo (rebuilt stocker that makes more power) ~ $900

-nistune ECU $1250 for whole ECU + tune from Toshi

-Z32 AFM ~$300 new but you can get 2nd hand ones.

    -Walbro 255 fuel pump ~$100

about 15psi on the stock injectors will make a fast responsive reliable R33

    Thank you recommend me.

  5. I think you must have read what I wrote. Toshi tuned my car and when I asked about E85 he said its no good for a weekender (or less). I'm just going off what he said to me; water absorb = more chance of knock & potential to rust injectors if the car sits. I don't know anyone who's had that problem and I'm not going to let it worry me at all.

I'm tuning on e85 later this year because everyone seems to love the extra knock protection, lower EGTs, Higher power and it's readily accessible for me so why not!

My customer used E85 and he did not drive 2weeks then his car start engine knock (He could not hear knock but his ecu is power fc so he can see how many knocks).

He refill E85 then stop engine knock.

I think fuel pump and injecter is not problem.
