  1. thanks for the reply. yeah from what ive read i would be best to run an r33 ecu to match the engine. but would this have any downsides? like gauges not working? and yeah i didnt mean 25,000rpm. haha! ive done my best to look for a guide as someone said they were on here but i cant see them anywhere. ive even looked in the n/a part and couldnt see a guide to putting an rb25 in the 34. am i looking in the right places?
  2. afternoon everyone, hope people dont mind this being my first post. i have registered before but cant log back in for some reason. im from the uk and your name pops up a lot of the uk forums so thought id shoot over and ask for some help. if i should be using the search please just say. ive just bought myself an engine-less r34 skyline. it was originally a manual non turbo but i obviously want to go the turbo route. what i want to ask is what it my best option engine to fit into it. it did come with an rb25det from an r33 but it needed wiring up to run. do i go for an rb25 out of a r33? if so how do i deal with the wiring. im very capable at bolting things together but when it comes to wiring im out. is the standard ecu going to kick off at the sight of a turbo? or do i run an r33 ecu and full wiring loom to make things easier? would all this result in speedo and revs not working as i want it to be perfect. or do i go for a neo turbo engine? again, is the wiring going to be different as its a non turbo originally? and would ecu just shut down when it saw boost? i have a really nice hks turbo kit just waiting for an rb25 of some describtion so im very keen to get it working. just everytime i think ive found a way through i think of something else that may go wrong. i dont want to put it all together and it not idle when hot, or wont rev much over 25000rpm or over fuel. you know what i mean with engine conversions. i just want it to be bang on! i really am so stuck with what to do. i could even sell my 32 and 34 and but something decent already done. so could anyone throw any advice my way? ill take any advice no matter how big or small, i will take it. thanks for reading ash
