  3. 4 year wait? why?

To many fingers in the pie I guess. Workshops were doing the work for 'free' basically so it could have meant the car wasn't a priority as its not a paying customer so wouldn't be touched until they had some free time to be able to work on it.

Then when it was some what close to being finished and just needing to see the engineer the company director screwed everyone and skipped the country leaving everyone in the lurch and a lot of people out of pocket apparently.

Spent the last year and a bit chasing the 2IC (i guess you could call him) to see what was happening with the car and try to get it finished and registered. They swapped out the bags for coilovers and replaced the big wheels with what is on there now. Fixed up couple issues with the motor to try and get it to the engineer until He/the company 'could no longer put anything towards the car and was afraid of defaulting and creditors taking the car to cover the debt.'

After all the fun and games I decided it was best to take it as is now. End of the day I got something after the 4 year wait which is better than nothing.

  4. Thanks Everyone,

I'm pretty stoked still even if its not everything it should or could be. I'm just glad to finally own a skyline. I have only been wanting one for years and now I've finally got one with half the work done. Interior has been retrimmed and got a decent stereo setup. At this stage I wouldn't mind fixing it up but with a little one on the way it might be a little while before anything starts to happen

Hadouken - The engine bay is pretty much stock

18694_425868280815234_265780199_n_zps0f8 and wasn't painted unlike the rest of the car as for underneath I haven't got that far yet but no work was done so would look like any other car

MrFijiGold - Its a DET so ive got some turbo fun at least :-D

Ben C34 - Correct they cut the rear quarters off and widened them out to fit the air bag and big wheels setup (why i do not know  ) There was an engineer involved form the start so hopefully they've done it by the book and there isn't too much work needed now to get it to pass. Will contact him to see what he says and go from there.

  5. Hi All,
So I'm a little hesitant to introduce myself due to the background and history of the car but here goes.
Some of you may remember a number of years ago a competition that was held by a 'company' to give away a modified skyline.
I was that lucky or unlucky winner (depending where you stand). Some liked what was done some didn't. Unfortunately I didn't have much a say in the way to car was modified. I would however like to thank all those that came on board (even after all the BS that went down) that helped make the car what it is regardless.

So this is the car (try not be distracted too much)

After 4 years the car finally landed in my driveway. A little different to what it looked like when first debuted and looking a little sad.
The car was originally set up on air bags with 24" rears and 22" fronts. These have been ditched for coilovers and the wheels that are on there now (not my choice either).

Removal of stickers was priority number one.

Unfortunately the car isn't registered so I'm undecided what I should do with it but for now will give the car a full service and a once over to see what needs doing and go from there.
