  1. Ever get a fix to this a2z? Got the exact same aircon issues. A/c compressor won't cut in unless I bridge the aircon relay or bride two of the 4 wires on the pressure switch on the receiver drier. If I bridge the other two wires on the switch it powers the condenser fan relay.

Everything operates as it's ment to, aircon gets cold when bridged. it's just been re gassed with the correct amount of r134a. The idle increases as it's ment when switching the aircon switch on and off as the ficd relay powers up. there is no signal being sent to the aircon relay to switch the clutch in. Annoying!!

  2. on the weekend i destroyed my clutch in my r33,

was a extreme 6 puk ceramic. the clutch plate ended up welding its self to to fly wheel. this was quite an aggresive clutch which was sometimes difficult in traffic and deffinatly hill starts ect.

after doing some research i herd good things about the jim berry full monty clutch. Turned out some one i knew had one which had only done 500km worth of work.

i got my flywheel machine and fitted up the clutch and box last night. I cant beleive how light the pedal feels and how easy the clutch engauges. the clutch is a 3900lb pressure plate i was certainly expecting it so be alot heavier and aggressive.

Who else is running one of jim berrys clutch and what sort of power are you putting through it?

  3. the best action ive had was with a GTX3076, 4000rpm's = Hammer time, 1st and 2nd at WOT =Black lines layed for 50meters which is f#$k yeah feeling.. 3rd= hold on

If you can do this then you know you got a wild ride, the rest is up to you and the tyres, suspension and right foot control, but personally this has set the bar for me... and now disappointed with anything less :(

not wrong here. The GTX3076 is awsome fun. i love it!

  4. Currently it's a walbro 255 intank. The reg was hard mounted and I thought of rubber mounting but even with the reg removed and holding it in your hand the sound is the same. I was reading up else where that after market regs have a stainless needle and seat and pulsations from the fuel pump and injectors opening and closing can make this chatter. What's got me stuffed is the factory fuel damper is still installed but in standard form from the factory, the fuel damper is down stream after the reg on the return line. I thought you would want this installed either after the fuel filter/before the fuel rail, or after the fuel rail and before the fuel reg so the pulsation damper can actually absorb some of the pulsations from the fuel pump and injectors..

  5. Ok guys the other nite I had fitted up my plazmaman fuel rail along with the 1000cc xspurts mounted a new magnafuel fpr, re done all the fuel lines. Got the car running but I've got a humming/buzzing noise is coming from the fuel pressure reg. if you hold the reg u can feel it. The noise is quite loud and really annoying. I've played around with the fuel pressure between 30-40psi and the noise changes as you go up In pressure. Any one else come across this? Is it just the pulasation from the fuel pump? The buzzing noise was never there with the factory fuel rail and reg..

If there's no fix for this ie changing the fuel dampner with another one from a different car ill have to change the reg its far too annoying.

What regs are use using that are e85 friendly? Cheers

  6. sounds more than good enough for my needs, how did you go about modifying the factory fuel lid for larger wires to the pump? or did you just run larger wires to the factory plug on the fuel lid?

some of the guys end up melting connectors on the fuel lid after fitting the walbro e85 pump with it drawing to much current.

  7. I've currently got a walbro 255 intank pump and my cars going to run a flex set up shortly so ill be looking to change the pump. For a car running between 400-450 rwhp is the walbro e85 pumps over kill for that power level? I hear some of use guys run into fuel over heating problems on e85 and having to run a fuel cooler set up and some of use running variable fuel pump speed controllers to try help the situation. Just seeing if the aeromotive 340 pump will be suitable for my power level and be safe? Cheers

  8. i have some knowledge and understanding, not a great deal but i am intrested in learning to do more of my own tuning in the future. ive done some tuning with a microtech ecu which i done some road tuning in one of my cars in the past and done a fair bit of carby tuning recently on my vs which has an carby ls1 and use msd software for setting ignition maps. ive got vcm suite/hp tuners software which ive used in my old vz ls1 obviosaly the vi-pec is a lot more complex and a different ball game with boost but i gotta start some where thoe.

  9. Has Anyone got a vi-pec in there r33 rb25 and has a good base map that I could work with to get my car running. Would have to suit 1000cc xspurts/id1000's. I'm waiting for my tech edge wideband to turn up so I'm going to give it a go and play around with the vi-pec tuning software hopefully get it running well enough to take it in to get a full tune done. Any help and tips is appreciated, cheers
