  1. Well.. looks like we've come to the end of our colorful discussion on whether or not a clear timing Cover will remain clear.

In conclusion I would like to thank everyone for there input. It's been a pleasure debating the issue and the OP amongst other things has been well and truly covered. Thank you and I will now proceed to purchase my clear timing cover and display it proudly under my bonnet.

  2. If you look above you post someone else decided to do it for you instead,

Btw it's piss weak not week

Lol ok your piss weak every day of the week?

And yes if you notice in that link the comments ..well they were constructive.. amazing ? And doesn't count that someone else found the link.. you are no doubt a troll and a pretender. . Who just likes to bag people's questions how tough of you

  3. i obviously know more then you for the fact I know how to use the search function and Google, so when you're able to do that you might be on your way to knowing as much as I do

Clap clap awesome come back.. lol.. but please just to prove to everyone how smart you are please share a link answering the OP.. If you can't I will suggest that we hail you the troll and just a pretender.

  4. Wow these questions are getting dumber and you appear to be up setting more and more people with your inability to use the search function, I really am starting to believe we have a troll. Might need to start reporting these posts

Lol Another know it all.. report it dude.. I bet you are the smartest kid ever all hail the genius that is Brett.. it's like no one is allowed to ask a question.. Some of you rude ass members need to deflate your big heads and if you can't contribute and discuss the OP then please refrain from trying to look like your all that because hey you better beleive it your not.. your actually acting like childish bullies. I truly wonder how many have left this site because of wanna be macho talkers in this site..and why don't you use the search button and look up forum?

  5. Well, teaching kids to research their own information and fend for themselves is a commendable trait. Teaching them to only bother others for worthwhile reasons is also good.

    Writing lol isn't.

Anyway man, you are making it worse.

If you want a chance of getting useful help just chill out, have a think, then search. Google how to search a particular site, its easy. It tells you how to find out stuff. Easily.

Then if you can't find out what you want ask away. Take time to write the post.

    Then people will help. Happily.

I don't see how I'm making it worse. . Your clearly just as bored as I am with this pointless chatter. That has nothing to do with the OP
  6. Man.

You come on here asking people to help then act like this?

Just throw money at your chosen shop and get some shit result. But a clear cover for wank factor.

Good luck with it. Then you sell the car for a huge loss.

How would the inside of a cover get dirty? Well one way would be a leaking camshaft seal, which only a lunatic wouldn't replace when they have the gears off a unknown km engine. Or the crank seal. Or the water pump.

Acting like nothing dude.. my comments are simply responding to tosser remarks by people who seem to be displeasured with simple questions. I am not well versed in the art of mechanics. I like my gtr for what it is.. I am learning about it as I go .. seems like there are a few here that are flabbergasted that everyone doesn't know everything about a gtr and how dare they ask questions. . Lol you do realize that that's what forums are for?
  7. Are you better than me cos of the car you drive?

If you think that's the case I'm truly sorry for you that your life is so basic and materialistic.

    Really. Its sad.

The way you react to replies on here is hilarious, so don't go changing.

Someone might spoon feed you with exactly what you want to hear sooner or later.

Ow I'm sorry you can dish it but can't take it .. no prob.. I'm sorry and yes a simple constructive answer to the question is preferred. . If you want to play games and consider yourself funny join a comedy club or a funny forum .. ??
  8. These questions aren't "forced induction" questions..

Use the correct section ie general maintenance

Great thanks for your input.. not

And its obviously a waste of money.

    You drive a stagea lol

I'm loving the idea of clear cam covers. That wording, plus the question of whether it will stay clean on the inside was worth a laugh.

Timing cover, now that's whole 'nother biscuit.

Wow another one with a constructive comment thanks you obviously know everything high five..

Oh man. Can't believe I didn't actually rad the thread correctly.

A clear cam cover is something very special indeed. Especially one that could stay clean!

Lol you drive a stagea. .

    +25hp for the wank factor?

Seems to be a lot of wank factor on this forum. Lol

You'd be crazy to not have them replace the seals when the gears are off.

Removing the cover is easy, then you have to reset the timing cos you have to take the cas off.

Thanks for that I'll make sure they replace the seals..

Yes it should stay clean if inside your timing cover is clean and your cam seals don't leak. It would only be 3/4 bolts to take it off.

Thanks again I appreciate the civil and constructive reply
  9. You can't tell that your AFM and Nistune is "maxed out" by reading. Your tuner will tell you when that happens. How many turbos and how many afms do you have? I doubt anything is "maxed out" at 310awkw..if your tuner can't tune it because of the afms get a couple of RB25 afms.

Yes a Link would be great if money is burning a hole in your pocket but the ecu, map sensor, temp sensor, installation and tune won't leave much change out of $3k

won't a haltech platinum pro plug and play eliminate the need for any of those?
  10. Measures the absolute pressure, which in turn allows you to mitigate the negatives of a AFM.

Eg, reverbaration, dirty afm affecting the signal, removes pretty much any limit on max airflow.

Atmos based blow off valve will not stall an engine

Comming off throttle will be alot "Smoother"

A pressure line will run to a sensor ( think of it like a boost sensor ).

This sensor will either be external, or internal to the ECU.

Most plug in ECU's use internal map sensors, and would be what you want.

You then remove the need for a AFM, and take them completely out of your engine bay.

And run a single boost line to the map sensor

Thanks it seems like this is a common question as to which is better? Afm or a plug in ecu which eliminates the afm? The general consensus leads to deleting the afm and spending the money on an ecu? A pair of nismo afm is going to cost 800ish I'm thinking this could be money better spent on an aftermarket ecu
