Is anyone familiar with the rim brand that came with the car , as I've no idea how I'd get them on the car without flairs, an there Japanese so I'm guessing thou there skyline stud pattern they fit another of the nissan range without mods at a guess???? Cheers

There's are the mags I got with the skyline, they need a good scrub but will polish up nicely, just got my shed up do there going in today and I'm going to get the car up on ramps an check out the undercarriage . But I have no idea how I'd go about using these mags as I'm definatly not a bolt on flairs kind of guy. Cheers

What is a tps plug and should I plug it back in. Basically I've got all the tools now an sick of paying a mechanic an arm an a leg for thing I could do given the knowledge and chance . Daryl

Basically I was an apprentice electronics tech up at mount stromlo in the late. 80's broke my back an now I do computer tech work from home make money an spend it on thing I've always wanted to try out. An the skyline is one of the thing I wanted to drive so I brought one. Now I've got to learn turbo tech , an nissan tech, an everything I need to know to move forward . Daryl

Can that coil over suspension raise the level of the car or does it just a just the stiffness also coils are the good or bad as I've got to raise it for rego transfer, anything you see bad . I got four wide mags with it they look good but stick out about an inch from the guards do you shorten the axle? Cheers Daryl

What type of could are they etc so I can look up what I have an weather it's worth chasing better, I'll put it up on ramps an get a look under it , but I brought it 6-8 months ago an just started driving it, as I was working and working on a ls1 SS . Just sitting on the second floor of a pub hotel room pondering the bullet I dodged yesterday, I get to half way to dubbo and a txt message comes saying someone stole the stereo and all the speakers , get there thing an this car has totally shot stock suspension , if it blew any more smoke I'd be copping a carbon tax levy, and the engine has a real bad knock, back tires bald , and the seat controller area is missing, it's 6.50am an I'm headed back to canberra. This guy didn't even want to test drive my ls1 ute , he just wanted to sign the papers. So I was out of there, oh well you win some you lose some. Cheers an thanks for the advice guys Daryl

Just found out it doesn't it's low mileage and was imported in 2003. It's a 98 model, and I'll get it chipped an tuned if the mechanics are sound, If I'm going all the way to dubbo ill certainly give it a good look over , and if in doubt take it to a mechanic I'll get some pics of my 93 gtst engine bay from above and below today now I know how to post pics Thx for the help guys. Must admit I was thinking of my ls1 VX when I said 1200, But if anyone can point me to a cheaper Dyno shop in canberra please do, that what's been putting me off working on the VX beastie Cheers Daryl

I spoke with the guy yesterday he has current Dyno Papers for the car getting 254rwkw @11psi ,I did ask him if He had boosted the turbo higher an he said not without getting it retuned. I'm going to ask about the ECU today , but I'm guessing it has. Lucky bugger know the only dynotuner in town an to prove power output or just give it a run on the Dyno for numbers cost him nothing To get it tuned 600$, I. Can't get near a Dyno for under 1200$ here in canberra. The car is a 98 model btw , an I've got nothing to do next weekend so might, take the ute for a run an take a look.

Sorry it sat in my yard for 6 months Photos can do I know it's got coil overs but can they a just hight or just stiffness. The turbo I brought is modified but I know next to nothing abit it apart from it's been modified, if there is anyone in canberra who could check it out take it for a drive etc , basically tell me what I have got please give me a pm or post an we can go from there, not asking for freebees just seone who is local an knows there stuff. I'm new here by the way and am looking at going to dubbo to swap a vu ls1 ute for another hot skyline as I'm having a great love affair with my turbo ,my first. Any help would be appreciated an reciprocated , of anyone who's been there an knows what there looking at could tell me what been done to my current, an if it's sooner rather than later advice at what to look for on this 7k or swap in dubbo.
