  1. Ice Performance was made up of myself, Gerald and Nigel. Gerald and Nigel ran the day to day business while I was a silent partner who provided a base car for them to work on and display some workmanship. Nigel then purchased the Supra and rebuilt it ground up to what people knew as the "Damn" Supra. Damn was the first RWD Supra in the country to break the 10 sec barrier when it ran a 10.91@129MPH on Nitto 275s at Heathcote. That was pretty much straight after making 595rwkw at AutoSalon back in 05. The car was then detuned and made a few visits to Sandown where I believe it made a best time of 1:21.

    My car ran a best of 10.47@133MPH when it was making 495rwkw but never cracked into the 9s when it ran a max power of 617rwkw because of traction issues on the Nitto 275s. According to HPI Magazine, I was the 4th fastest GTR in the country and the fastest street registered GTR in AU. We did eventually manage a best of 10.7@142MPH though which we were quite impressed in. Mind you, I was running stock R33 GTR suspension in the car so we couldn't really expect to have a record breaking car.

    Ice Performance dissolved in 06 when Nigel then started Racingline Motorsport with Karl which later closed up in 07.

    I"m pretty sure Damn supra wasnt the first to break the 10sec, that was Nabil's 8THSIN supra with a 10.4 @142mhp and 430rwkw on MT ET Streets. Also Nigels car had 390rwkw when he ran the 10 sec pass not 500+

Hi guys I have my turbo up for sale, originally was in my supra it's a garret t51r spl dual ballbearing 1.05 a/r with t4 flange and polished compressor cover, it hasnt been on the car for long (1000km) and it is in perfect condition, it has made around 508rwkw on pump fuel (98 octane) with 24pounds of boost, full boost is attained at 5400rpm (mind u this turbo will spool up much earlier on a car with smaller cams than mine which are which are huge, i also have a big intake manifold and a massive intercooler that makes it even laggier), asking $2000 ono

    Wrong on all points.

    The GT-R was BUILT to race, end of story. Abused "like a race car" you got it right there...LIKE a race car, But in your defence, how about all the Supras that ran in the Dutton and the other tarmac and car park rallies; strange I cant remember any.

    10 sec GT-R munched by a stock Supra..WTF. Have you any clue what it takes to run a 10sec pass ??? Sure you can wind up anything but it wont take long for a "stock" car to become modified car. What were the 60 footers? the incrementals? If you want to get it done there is only one import choice...and it's not a Supra.

    Anyway I have to go back to work...*think I'll take the 10 sec land cruiser*

    read the post properly b4 you start attacking someone, i clearly said STOCK ENGINE, with single turbo, where as the gtr where built off their nuts.

Seriously guys, most of you guys have no idea of what you are talking about, the tt supra deserves some serious respect and so does the rx7 they are both beautiful cars and thy both have their strong and weak points, what ive noticed about skyline owners is that they are very biased and there is nothing better than skylines. In my opinion the tt supra will always be the better car in almost every department, as for some people saying that the gtr is a race breed car come on seriously i wouldnt call something that has so many issues such as (oil starvation and more) a race breed car, where as the supra is relly built tough to be abused more like a race car if yo tell me. I know of 2 certain 10sec gtrs in this forum that have been munched by stock engine supras running semi- slick street tyres, as for traction a pair of some slick tyres will fix that problem.

    Supra with good rubber and stock engine = GTR having to fully rebuild box and engine just to keep up to the supra anywhere track or drag. eg, Amuse supra.

  5. you're right maybe cause i have had a great experience with both cars modified and unmodified and i know exactly what im talking about when it comes to gtr's and tt supras (not n/a) i have owned both therefore i know what im on about and know their strengths and weaknesses.

  6. The supra isn't remotely comparable to a GTR. Stock for stock it's slower everywhere. I'd compare a supra to a gtst.

    It also handles like a boat. Drive both one after the other and you will find yourself thinking very little of the supra.

    You comparing a tt Supra to a Gtst, common are you serious dude? Nikr33turb I think u should try out all the cars u'r interested in and then choose, also search other forums so u could get some unbiased opinions.

  7. What are the simalaraties of a 600, 700 and 800hp supra?

    they all run 13's.

    Also other similarities between supras running 600, 700 or 800hp is that they can do it on stock internals, another similarity is put a good set of semi slicks on them and they won't be running 13's, it will match any fully built car.

  8. whats the quickest RB powered car anyone knows of? Reece's GTR? quickest supra i know of is about 7.9, but have seen 2JZ's in the sixes....

    Vinny tenn's supra runs 7.3 (auto), actually there seems to be more quick supras than gtr around. I was just having a look on youtube and theres shitloads of street driven supras in the 8's.

  9. Rukus i don't want to be rude, but which high powered supras are u talking about?, i went to that cruise and there was not any high powered supras present that day, so u r really not making sense dude. Or maybe u call a supras with an intercooler and blowoffvalve high powered!!!
