That civic type R was a trade in. I personally know the previous owner.
"He sold me a Honda Civic Type R, and the engine blew in 5 weeks of ownership. I had only done commuting from work and back for 5 weeks, and I racked up just over 2000km in that time."
Yes, because Andrew was advised by an ex-friend to top up his oil, which he didn't and decided to take the car on a rev happy lap around Nasho (where the engine blew)
"you sold us a car with 62,000km on the clock, but when Sam posted the pics on JDMST, the cars dash had shown 132,000km. When we brought this to your attention and asked for the paperwork from Japan for the 10th time, you threatened us with legal action."
The car was traded in at 80,000+km
Joe couldn't give the paperwork as it was a trade-in
Car was original from IMG (in stock form)
"You even sold me a car without a catalytic converter and without an air box, and when I asked for these defects to be fixed you blatantly lied that the car came with those items. Even though you had pictures of the car with an Apexi Short ram intake on carpoint.com.au."
True, the car was traded in with a straight pipe to a magnaflow axleback. No oem airbox as it came with an Apexi Short ram intake with a heatshield
    two sides to every story

    Both parties have lied.

65,123kms when I bought it. Joe even states his mechanics had the car when it was on 70,267km. The statement on the detects are true, but the quotation "you sold us a car with 62,000km on the clock, but when Sam posted the pics on JDMST, the cars dash had shown 132,000km. When we brought this to your attention and asked for the paperwork from Japan for the 10th time, you threatened us with legal action" was friend an old friend of mine that bought an EP3R at the same time I did.

The rest of that post is pretty much bullshit. If its an attempt at making me look bad, especially by posting my name into the thread please make sure its factual and correct.

    NY911 aka Nick.

  2. According to the email, the sales contract states the car was sold with 65,123kms on the odometer. Did you receive the Japanese de-registration certificate with the car, if not have you since been able to get hold of it to qualify the kilometers?

I asked for this, along with my friend that bought a car at the same time.

They were in the mail, then in his safe, then ill send them too you, then they got lost.

  3. The only engine I had to check the oil every 2 weeks was my 2 stroke RGV. For a modern 4 stroke car engine, unless there is something majorly wrong every 2 weeks is excessive.

My engine loses around 500ml of Oil ever 3000kms. its takes 4.7L of oil each oil change which I do myself.

Do the maths and you can tell that there was something terribly wrong with the car I bought if I was loses 4.7L in less than 5000 km.

I really hope you see this Joe, Id love to hear what excuse you have now.

  4. So basically this was a dispute between myself and Joe back in 2011. He sold me a Honda Civic Type R, and the engine blew in 5 weeks of ownership. I had only done commuting from work and back for 5 weeks, and I racked up just over 2000km in that time. I was in dispute with Joe for another 2 weeks in who was going to fix this car. My car came out of his mechanics work shop with just enough KMs for it to be out of warranty, and he also didn't refund me for a wheel bearing which was in need of replacement in the first 2 weeks of ownership. For me to do 5000kms in this time, i would have had to be doing 1000km a week on average.

I still own this car, engine was rebuilt by another mechanic which I had to foot the bill. He also refused to fix the defects that came with my car, such as no cat and a pod filter, stating the car was sold with both.

Take a look. If there are any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

  5. As much as I want too, I have to show respect for his privacy.

I also want to ring his mobile and give him a blasting over the phone, but I know people like this are just bottom feeders and since I bought my car in 2011. Legally I don't believe I can make a further claim against him. Especially since his business has been shut down.

  6. I have all the emails saved. I will be more than happy to show the forum if you wish.

You even sold me a car without a catalytic converter and without an air box, and when I asked for these defects to be fixed you blatantly lied that the car came with those items. Even though you had pictures of the car with an Apexi Short ram intake on carpoint.com.au.

I took legal action, but I was advised that the costs to pursuit this claim could very well out weigh the costs of fixing the car. I contacted you numerous times, both email and mobile, and I was told over the phone and in email if i was to tell anyone you would

"We have been advise by our solicitors/lawyers that if you in any way disrespect, verbally dishonour our business in any way you will

have legal action taken against you. Defamation will cause legal proceedings immediately and won’t be taken lightly. We will

endure all avenues and costs in regards to this and will spare no expense."

and the conversation on the phone we had just before this was a lot more colorful from your end.

  7. Another 1 post wonder who is making up stories.

Its funny how story telling on forums these days has taken off.

Never ever heard of your problem before and as I have said before I am not hiding.

Xtreme Motorsports will be opening back up in a few months once I have found a new place.

For the 100th time.... I AM TAKING A f**kING BREAK AND NOT RUNNING AWAY.

This is a joke. Joe you are nothing more than a cheap, sleazy, dodgy used car salesman. We have even caught you out on doing haircuts to your cars, when you sold us a car with 62,000km on the clock, but when Sam posted the pics on JDMST, the cars dash had shown 132,000km. When we brought this to your attention and asked for the paperwork from Japan for the 10th time, you threatened us with legal action.

I hope you're sleeping well that you sold me a car 2 years ago, the engine blew up less than 5 weeks of ownership. I took it to your joke of a mechanic WCCG and my car came out with 3000kms approx. extra on the dash voiding my warranty. I hope you enjoy the fact I had to spend close to $4000 for a new engine replacement. I hope you enjoyed the fact you abused me via email and telephone. I hope you enjoy the fact you put me under severe financial hardship and strain.

Please do the automotive community a favor. Go get a job at Woolies stocking shelves and stop ripping people off.

  8. Thank you and appreciate your comments.

    Good cop, bad cop.....same cop?

    Lol...I don't threaten people.

Never have and never will. Its not my nature.

Thank god this establishment has been closed.

I laughed and had to register when you said you have never threatened anyone. Except for when I bought a car from you and the engine blew up 5 weeks after I owned it. I took it to your 'mechanic' and i magically had 5100 km on the car from when I bought it voiding my statutory warranty, and you threatened me over email that you would sue me for everything thing i had and i was not you 'f**k' with you.

Good riddance to this dodgy business.
