  1. My Stagea met with a gum tree and lost. I will be wrecking the entire car. The only thing not for sale will be the stereo. The impact was slightly off to the left front end so unfortunately the power steering and air con brackets broke their mounts on the block. The water pump and harmonic balacer have broken as well. The motor had 87000kms on it so entire drivetrain other than block can be used for a series 1 to 2 upgrade including manual gearbox and lsd. Front right guard and all doors are intact as well as interior other than airbag deployment. All four wheels and tyres are intact too, as well as turbo back Fujitsubo Stainless exhaust. Front two doors have darkest legal tint in windows and both sunroofs are darker again. Will sell car complete for $8000 or will seperate drivetrain and left front guard, complete doors minus speakers, complete rear tailgate, interior, wheels and exhaust at a realistic offer similar to what a wrecker would charge. The colour of the car is black. VicRoads have deemed it a repairable write off, so can be repaired too. I am located in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and can be contacted on 0422392924.

  2. Thanks for all your input guys. Turns out it was the intake motor behind glovebox. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement in SE Melbourne? Also wondering when it was mentioned that a new one flogged out quickly due to a possible failing climate control unit as when I turn air con on it doesnt even turn compressor on.

  3. Cheers. I had a 96 GTS25t but it was getting a bit small for my daughter. I find the Stagea quicker anyway having the 34 motor and also having the ATTESA it blows me away in the wet. Happy days.

  4. Just introducing myself as ive recently become a Vic member. My name is Rodney, I drive a 99 Stagea which is in my hometown of Melbourne, and I work in WA. I also ride a Kawasaki 600, and you will usually find me in the Reefton and Black Spurs on the weekends back home.post-13001-1240628852_thumb.jpg

  5. My tailgate is refusing to open. Ive had a look at the fuses under the bonnet, but there appear to be none for this. The handle goes limp with car locked, and then seems to click with it unlocked, but its like the electric motor isnt releasing. Im wondering if anyone has had this problem and knows a way to fix it.

  6. Hi all. Ive recently come back from working interstate and had a flat battery in my 33. I charged it, drove it around for the day and then parked it. A few hours later when I went to start it up again I had no power getting through to the ignition or the dashboard, yet all headlights and interior lights are still working fine. Does anyone have any ideas where I should start searching? Thanks.

  7. hey, first post here. Long time lurker i guess

Iv been considering going the R33 GTST route for some months now, there is simply no other cars which suit my criteria, and are designed to fit people over 6ft tall (try sitting in most coupes). But, i do alot of highway KM's (600+ per week), and are wondering how you guys find fuel consumption. I know there is a sticky on this subject, but its mostly on semi-modified skylines getting 300rwkw etc.

How do you find the stock manuals, for mostly highway driving? Is it possible to get over 500k's from the 50L tank when driven conservatively?

If the fuel consumption is high, try replacing the oxygen sensor. The factory sensors are Bosch, but these tend to clog up after a few years, so I have found NGK ones to be better. Part number is O2A395-E2 for R33 GTS-t.

  8. Hi Guys,

I have looked over the threads here and there is a good deal of information regarding what clutches people have etc. I've had my R32GTR for almost 3 months and after going uphill in 4th gear realised my clutch is slipping. I have a twin plate OSGiken clutch. I've gotten some quotes from a mechanic:

Rebuild: which includes rebuilding the current twin plate OSGiken clutch and machining the flywheel = $approx $1300 including labour.

New single plate clutches, different types they told me, one was a brass button one, the other was an organic single plate one, the brass button one was $100 dearer but with labour came to about the same price as the rebuild because I would most likely need a new flywheel with the new clutch.

I would like to keep the twin plate if it means better gripping and gear changing down the line when I hopefully conjure up some money and get some mods done to increase the hp. My engine is pretty stock except for 2 airpods. However I was also thinking whether or not a rebuild and remachining would be as long lasting as a new single clutch, if the single can handle approximately 350kw (which is about as far as my money in the future will probably take me) it might be the better option now if it would last longer.

Currently I'm leaning more towards the rebuild, mainly cause I get to keep the twin (as a new twin would cost more than the rebuilt one) and it works out to be the same if not cheaper than the single options. Just not sure if it would last as long as a new clutch would.

I'm not a huge car racer or dragger if that helps. Just want something decent. Willing to pay the money mind I don't want something for nothing, I just want something that's worth it and both options seem to have their good points.

Any input would be helpful to make up my mind.

    Cheers

If you have a credit card, im not sure whether it was Nengun.com or Greenline.jp, but one of them had OS rebuild kits for sale, and from experience you can get these parts a lot cheaper from these sites.

  9. Im curious to know if anyone has used one of these ecus yet as they are available with plug in looms to suit all R32-R34 Skylines except the R34GTt and they run MAP sensors like the Apexi Power FC DJetro or MAF and have built in boost controllers and turbo timers as well as a lot of other functions.

  10. tomei hicas lock is on www.nengun.com

and have a looky in the group buy section on this site for rear subframe bushes hope your not too late for the r33 GB shouldnt be!

Hi. work computer wont let me access the GB for bushes so will wait till I get home. What is the website for the Endless kit from Greenline? Thanks.

  11. Sorry Geoff but I could not wait. For those that dont want to use the Tomie solution and prefer the bar, I got an Endless one of greenline which cost $150 to my door...

Geoff, not trying to kill your business mate.

Hi, how you going. Just picked up my R33 last week and am looking for the lock off kit that you purchased. What is the website to buy the Tomei kit for the HICAS? Do you also know where I can get the Subframe bushes for the rear? Thanks.
