  2. Hi all, Have a Nissan Skyline R31 Sedan Executive series 3 for sale, Second owner. Purchased off an older gentleman to get around to the train station for work (commute was 15km one way, but finished late at night and did not want to risk my other car getting pinched from the station) Has around 120xxx kms, the km counter is broken however, at 80,XXX. Was not concerned with that, overall condition of the body and car show its low km life. Body panel and paint work is in good condition, likewise with the interior. Still original seat covers and tissue box from dealership in the car. Requires blue slip, hasn't been driven in over six months (rego ran out) Just been sitting in the front yard, time to sell it as its becoming an eye sore and the beautiful buffalo grass underneath it is probably long dead now Bad points Crank Angle Sensor/Dizzy needs replacing. Car will drive but once hot will rev cut and turn off and not start. Pouring cold water over the dizzy cooling it down will start it back up. Another Distributor is about $50-150 and three bolts to change Driver side door locks and then is hard to unlock, needs a jiggle. Good for first car, restoration, project car, drift or for parts. Car is located in Bossley Park. Sydney, NSW PM me for phone number/inspection After $1200 ONO with an emphasis on ONO, will take $1000 if gone by tonight or tomorrow. OR THROW ME AN OFFER, I might just take it
  3. HI all, (Mods feel free to delete or move to relevant sub-forum.) Currently looking at buying a particular 1997 200sx s14 (sr20det) I have been informed by the seller the car has been left at his parents residence for the past 1 and half years and has not been started for 6months. Recently he charged the battery up and attempted to start the car and the car would not turn on. He said the motor would crank over but would not turn and believes it maybe a coil or crank angle issue as he had a similar issue 7 years ago. He told me prior when he took the car off the road, the car would crank abit longer before started but usually started first go.He assures me the motor was mechanically fine (130,XXX kms) and has all receipts to prove of the car being serviced etc. I'm just wondering if anyone could shed some light or help trouble-shoot this issue or possibly diagnose the source. THe car is located interstate and i dont have time to view it. Happy to provide more info and if anyone local (in melbourne) can personally help would be greatly appreciated, i'm willing to pay as well Cheers
