  1. what would be the better option for an r32 gtst 2 door, 17x8.25+25 or 17x8.25+35? will be running 235/45 tyres all around, i know i can tuck both under stock guards but i want to be able to tuck the rears with between 0-1 degree negative camber so which would be the better option? guards are currently all stock but wouldnt mind rolling them, not to keen on doing much more, thanks!

  2. Interesting, where can you get those from?

Also anyone in the know, can you please confirm if BC BR front and rear coils are interchangeable? I currently run 6kg front, 5kg rear and wouldn't mind experimenting with 8kg front, 6kg rear (the standard rates) - can I just swap my current front springs to the rear and buy some 8kg fronts? What's the easiest place to buy online in Aus?

how do the 6kg and the 5kg ones ride and handle on the street? or even on a good bit of twisties? current coilovers in my r32 gtst arent the best and bc looks quite good from this thread

  3. i think i may opt for r33 gtst brakes, they're a straight bolt on using the same lines and everything, may not be a massive difference from r32 brakes but coupled with all the support gear i think it will be a substantial difference, anyone with any knowledge on basic suspension tuning who could give me a few tips for dialing out understeer and generally making my car handle better?

  4. the alpha gear is still a bit on the expensive side, i had a look at the ksport stuff and definitely out of my budget new, 33 brakes from what i found are the same as 32r brakes (not the vspec brembos) slightly bigger callipers, and rotor thickness + diameter, and they can be found quite cheap second hand leaving money over for braided lines, good pads and slotted/dimpled rotors, keep in mind my basis for comparison is stock r32 brakes with old pads so i dont think i'd need some crazy good setup for it to be an upgrade over what i have now

the main problem i was having was suspension wise, the car was quite bad when going through tight corners, understeer everywhere, what's a good measure i can take to fix this? arms/bushes etc

  5. I have been reading through a few already and at this stage r33 brakes seem like a step up from 32 ones without draining my wallet, there's not as much on adjustable arms though, I know there's plenty of different arms/joints you can get but I'm mainly interested what out of thouse would be the most helpful for a street setup and what I wouldn't need to get

  6. So last night i took my car out for the first time for a mountain run and it wasnt great, brakes were not up to par and cornering resulted in lots of understeer and generally very sloppy. I know next to nothing about setting up suspension properly, all of the suspension is stock as far as i'm aware and i have coilovers on there, it squeaks when i go over bumps currently (i'm assuming bushes are worn out) and the brakes are 4 pot front and 2 pot rear (m spec stock brakes i think), i also have 225 tyres stretched over 9" wheels all round (getting 235's soon)

my question is what should i be looking at getting suspension wise (adjustable arms etc) and what's a good brake upgrade for a 32?

  7. Isn't tyre shine extremely slippery and make belts slip? The belts on the car at the moment seem to be in good condition so I havnt gotten new ones yet. Yeah I'm aware of the tread pattern and that's what makes them run so quietly hence wanting one, I can get an oem replacement kit from gates or bosch but they have the same design as my current belts

  8. so the troubles on my car never seem to stop, i've got an extremely annoying squeaky belt which even after using soap and checking tension repeatedly does not seem to want to leave, i followed this video:

and can notice an extremely small amount of play on the alternator side of the wheel probably 1mm or less, the noise also goes when i spray water on the belt/pulley as suggested in the video, my question is has anyone had any experience with gatorback belts and what sizes do i need for all 3 accessory belts? (rb20 r32)
  9. the only problem was the power cable that looked like an earth, on the rb20 its too small to fit on the rb25 nut so you have to cut it and put a bigger one on, other than that its perfect fitment so i'd recommend it to anyone who's electrics seem weak

  10. so i'm pretty sure i found the problem, main fuse completely gone lol, the one that says 75A in the engine bay, does anyone know how much current an rb25 alternator flows? im assuming the rb20 ones flow 70A and rb25 flows more than 75A
