Thanks for the feedback everyone! I will wait a bit longer, save some more coin and buy them brand new which will give me piece of mind knowing that I might not be buying someone else's problem and that they will have warranty

Hey all! I have been thinking of upgrading the suspension in my R33 for a while now and I think the time has come.
A good deal has come up on a used set of BC BR coilovers for $800 the owner said they would probably have about 10,000k's on them and they have been used in his street car..
I was just wondering if I could get some opinions on buying second hand before I think about dropping the cash on them or if I should just buy brand new.

seriously ditch the brant alarm.. biggest pos... they came factory in my sti... extremely annoying when they are on their way out.
i have the same prob... car is fine when cold.. when its hot it wont start... this is the alarm/immobiliser failing...
there has been some stories of the brant alarm immobilising the engine whilst freeway driving..
Do you think this could be my problem also? I have a Mongoose M80

But I'm currently having the same sort of problem with my S2 33!
Car will die when it gets warm (bit under half temp on gauge) have tried two cas's and a different afm. When car dies it will crank but wont fire but if you leave the car to cool down it starts first turn and will run until it dies again..

blind_elk - Wont start if i give it any throttle just floods it and runs like shit when it eventually fires haha..
Lrs94- Nah doesn't crank like a flat battery cranks like normal
Kane_R32 - Fuel pressure is good after car shuts off
mlr- Where abouts are connections on chassis and block?
UPDATE- Turns out the cas i tried turned out to be an RB20DET one plug was the same but apparently the timing is different? And i ran the car the other day and when it got to temperature it didn't shut down and even took it around the block and let it sit at home idling and didn't die?

Hi all, I am having trouble with my S2 R33 GTST, have had a look around the forums but so far nothing has really helped.
The problem is when the car gets warm it just dies (can crank it over but wont fire) and wont start again until cold.
When the car is cold it starts first turn of the key and will drive around and wont miss a beat until its warm and then wont start again.. The problem has been occuring for a little while now but thought it was fixed after unplugging the ECU (Nistune) it didnt happen for about 150k's (the car doesn't get driven very often)
Have swapped the cas and afm (Z32) for known working units and it didn't make a difference, plugs look alright and the Splitfire coilpacks are only around 8 months old also unplugging the coolant temp sensor doesn't do a thing.. Car also drinks a fair amount of fuel round about 300 Kilometers to a tank on 98.
Could this be an issue with the tune? any help would be greatly appreciated cheers.
