  1. OK so here I go.. apologies if this is a done and finished topic, but I noticed this topic appeared to be primarily for the VQ25.. what about the VQ35 ?

I am genuinely crap at researching, and keep stumbling on options for the turbo’d VQ25. I am always trying to refer to V35 threads as I understand that is close in many ways.

Can I do long tube headers, and is there a benefit over short tube headers in my case? What hi-flow cat options are recommended ? What size exhaust will be the sweet spot ? I understand that if and when I do any mods/upgrades, it needs to be able to exhale well to begin with, I am looking at the plenum spacers (happy for opinions and guidance) as I want to stay NA... and purely want to ensure the lovely can drive it without killing herself.

my belated Christmas wish (as a starting point) is full exhaust to suite my PNM35 ARX. I’m very late to the game, have already done suspension, brakes are up for discussion as well, as I want this little terror to stop as well is it handles as well as it goes in a straight line.

then sway bars are next... but baby steps for now.. I have been on this a couple of times and have found everyone super friendly and helpful over the times

hope everyone has had a good Christmas

  2. I've got a s2 arx stagea that would be very interested in a paddle shift setup once in the tiptronic mode (need to make sure my other half can drive it still).. was thinking maybe the g35 paddles could Frankenstein in and I know the bell works kit bolts in with ease.. would be super keen to know if what I am after is possible.. don't know if I'm off topic with what your writing or not..

  3. They are definatey not stock items,
Does your car have electric mirrors ? If so, put it in reverse and press the round button.. looks oddly familiar to my stag and it stops the mirrors from pointing to the ground :)

  4. I hope I'm conveying the correct info, but when I started to look into it, I kept running into obstacles.. by many accounts, a few people were doing it, but they are more and more scarce.. it seems it is much more viable to replace the stock stereo with a fascia and after market stereo, and if your talking about the m35 stag, replace the pop up screen with a pocket.. I did a lot of asking and probably annoying the many fine folk that frequent these forums with a similar direction.. hope that helps

  5. What will happen if I remove the entire popup screen and mechanism, will it affect the ac controls?

Again I don't believe it will do anything to affect the air con, as it's not necessarily intergrated..

Maybe joshm could answer a few questions for you..
  6. All these products are great but without some kind of UV protection the problem will be back, and faster than before, since all the sanding and polishing has now left bare plastic with zero protection
there are a couple of kits with spray on clear coat, i'm testing one now

So is the process the same with the addition of a clear coat spray once completed ? I'm looking into this myself as I have three cars that could do with similar attention
  7. I haven't done mine either, but from what I've read yes it's different plugs but it will be currently an intergrated panel that you won't be able to move the buttons as part of the existing fascia, which also means you won't be able to dremmel it out..

  8. Can't get over how many speakers there are, and the audio setup in general... seems quite smart.. you can buy a centre speaker from alpine I think that may fit a touch better where the screen was.. I'm guessing it's all more reasonably priced in Japan hence the amount of work that was done [emoji736]
