So @moleman_1,  did you follow up on why they couldn't do an update on your car? I believe there should be a firmware version or something similar they can check / read out to tell if the fix has been applied to your car prior ?

Had a nice long chat on the day as to why they couldn’t do it. Apparently the file wasn’t able to be applied for an unknown reason, they couldn’t tell me why, probably because they actually didn’t know why... Nissan are quite useless and all they want is your money, that’s what I gathered. So now I gave up, unless someone else has an alternative solution?

As much as I hope this is a fix, I have doubts.  I checked mine and while the fuse is also missing, there is only one terminal post for the fuse.  Therefore putting one in place in my car would do nothing unfortunately

You're right it did nothing. I read the other thread about it's probably the VTC being the issue. Did you manage to get a fix for yours @Rufus007

  3. Ok so I managed to solve the issue!

It was a fuse that was missing in the fuse box in front of the battery. The fuse is named 'anti theft ACC' it's a 10A fuse.

The fuse was actually missing from my car for some reason...

So I popped a 10A fuse in there when I seen it was empty just because I thought it needed to be there since it was pretty much the only one missing and then when I took it for a drive afterwards I noticed it didn't stutter like it usually does. Now I've taken the car for a drive a couple of times and haven't noticed the stuttering come back at all. So it must've been the damn fuse!

  4. Hey guys so after contacting the dealer that AWSAM got the update done at, I got the details on the update. He said to tell your local dealer to Contact Nissan Australia tech line department and refer to IQ contact 890008

so I did this and went in today to get the update applied to my car (2007 V36 sedan) and it turns out they couldn't download the update to my car for some unknown reason. So I don't know what the go is but I'm gonna give them a ring again tomorrow to follow up. I had a quick thought that maybe the update has already been done on my car in the last before buying it but then I thought it couldn't have because otherwise I would'nt be having the stupid bucking/stuttering and hard shifts that I get in my car... ?

  6. Consult 3 required in Sydney

    Hello everybody,

I am located in Sydney and in desperate need of a Nissan consult 3 to finish configuring my newly installed head unit. Nissan dealers don't know what they're doing and refuse to help. Please pm me if you have a consult 3 or know anoyone that has one. Willing to pay.

Don't know what else I could tell you that might help.
Im in adelaide, bugged Infiniti Melb for a while. They facilitated getting the update from japan. Which was meant to be sent to Adelaide. Nissan refused, instead held the update and sent it to TECH LINE. GTR dealership in Adelaide connected a laptop to my car. A person from TECH LINE in sydney did the update/config remotely.
Andrew Taylor from Infiniti Melbourne was the legend or helped me out in 2014.

Also do you know the number for techline Sydney?

So I managed to get some info on throttle body programming which can potentially resolve the issue. Is that what you had done awsam?

It's almost been 2 weeks after having the update applied. The car runs 90% better, which for anyone who has the same problem is incredible!

The grunt is still mostly there, and the acceleration delay feels 50% reduced. There is no more bucking, hiccups or stuttering. A couple of times i've felt maybe 3 small bucks (like 5% of previous strength) at low gear, but only ever once while driving.

There is no more hesitation from a stopped start at all.

The anti slip control seems to be less sensitive now also.

I highly suggest anyone experiencing my issues with a 2008 V36 sedan have the update applied, even if it's just so you can sell it for more. Main North Nissan charged me $190. If you're in Adelaide, ask for Josh.

Andrew Taylor from Infiniti Melbourne was the man who made it all happen, top guy, went above and beyond for no reward other than the gratitude.

I'm so happy it's fixed, so incredibly happy. Now we can actually sell it for what it's worth :P

How can I get this update in Sydney?

    who do I go to?

ive asked Infiniti Sydney and they said they can't do it and I've asked a couple of other GTR dealerships and they also can't do it.

    Hi everyone,

I'm from Sydney and I managed to find someone that was able to CONVERT MY WHOLE SYSTEM TO ENGLISH, including buttons, from an Infiniti system. I've attached a pic. If anyone would like to know details of the guy, just send me a private message and I'll send you his details. So basically it's a full conversion except only thing that's not working is the side camera which he is still trying to figure out how to bring back. Overall I am very pleased with the new system and definitely think it's worth it. He's charging mid-high $2000s, he was negotiable with me on the price.

No limitations other than the side camera. I now have fully operating Aus sat Nav and also have integrated USB connection plus more! My one that he did was a 2007 pv36 sedan so I'm sure he can do any other model with no problems. So I paid a deposit then he ordered the kit in and took about 2 or 3 weeks to arrive. Then he just did it on the day in a couple of hours.

Anyway you can contact him directly on 0406960344
