  1. C34 Center Console Removal

I'm having a bit of trouble getting the bucket + lid + cup holders unit out. I have unscrewed it, but can't pull it out because the cup holder drawer is still attached to it and jaming.

Has anyone done this recently? Any idea of how the drawer comes out without breaking it?

  2. C34 Series 2 - Gremilin with starting

    Hi All,

I have a frustrating problem. A few weeks ago my car was broken into, barrel lock ripped out and battery flattened. Fine, charged battery and now I start the car with a screwdriver.

My issue is the car doesn't start every time now, seems to be quite random, probably starts 50% of the time. When it does start, it roars into life in well under a second and runs like a clock. When it doesn't it just cranks and cranks without a hint of getting started, which made me believe it was a sticky relay or dodgy earth. I have since replaced or swapped around all the relays and inspected and cleaned all the earths i could find (about 5 in engine bay and one in the driver's kick panel). Oh, and I can hear the fuel pump working regardless of it not starting. Battery voltage is 13.2v, but the starter still sounds fine with this. There are also no ECU codes.

I have searched far and wide and can't find a solution. Would anyone have any ideas on what to do next?

Should I just get an auto elec in?

    Pulling my hair out!

  3. S2 Stolen and now door latch issues?

    Hey All,

So car was stolen and recovered with a dead starter and broken ignition barrel. I now have these replaced and have one issue - locking.

I don't know how they got the door open, the barrel hasn't been tampered with, and it didn't look like they shoved anything in the door from above.

My old fob doesn't work anymore and when I hit the internal central lock button everything locks but the driver's door.

So broken latch yeah? and does that mean they might have used some sort of electrical brute force method to get in? because it all looks visually fine and there is a slight electrical burned smell.

    Thoughts?

  4. Okay, it's finally home and some notable things to report are

    • missing ignition barrel made it shockingly obvious how easy older cars are to steal
    • things missing were a car charger, cheapo set of sockets and a vape (good quality stereo was left wtf)
    • it was obvious they went through every nook and cranny of storage space, even inside the spare tire tools
    • they removed the air filter panel which was in the boot
    • oil fine
    • coolant fine
    • tires fine
    • 1/4 tank of petrol left
    • flat battery
    • melted positive battery terminal
    • when jump started starter motor just clicks and battery terminal starts smoking
    • can push the car around in 5th and engine still turns over

so i think the next step is to find a column key lock set thing and call an auto elec to figure out what has gone wrong with the starter circuit

    unless anyone has any ideas?

  5. UPDATE: I just spoke to the police, apparently it has been found in North Melboune with a busted ignition barrel and no other information. I'm guessing it was found by a parking inspector or a curious local. Will update when the inspector gets back to me and releases the car.

Thanks again for your help all. I'm very glad at the prospect of having it hack.
