Hi, mate i actually bought the white one with Apexi kit you listed above. I was aware of it was 4C instead of 4B prior purchase, and i did use it as my bargain leverage. The car itself presents in a really good condition, we have put it on hoist and checked over, no rust and no dent along the rail, the only thing been replaced is rear bumper bar.  I did question them about the auction grade,  they were like it was a mistake. I think you are right, they put ads with a higher grade just to attract customer and expect them not to question about it. Anyway, im just glad i got a clean car, not sure about other car they sold.

Nice mate, the only reason I didn't buy the white one was because it has the replaced front passenger guard due to the " xx " on the auction sheet and the sales bloke wouldn't let me get a compression test done and full inspection through crd ( which is just down the road ) he said because crd are expensive and extremely thorough and will pick on little things.. which made me think they were dodgy? ( paying at my own expense )

He also said " compression test " could be low due to sitting around in Japan.. which is bull..

I hope the car is immaculate though, did it come with all logbooks and paperwork?

I asked him about logbooks he said he couldn't find it and could still be on a boat from Japan..

Spoke with the cars owner, says price is heavily negotiable. However the cars is in desperate need of a tune ( running rich and too much lag ). To make things worse, he wouldn't disclose in detail what pieces actually went into the build.

I'm just curious, how much would any of you actually pay for this car, in its current condition?

Have been looking for a GTR for a while now and keep finding duds on these forums.

    Exactly what bob said mate,

Kilometers are unknown, no one should ever change a adm dash to nismo, condition would be very average and would suit restoration. Gtr part prices.. is a whole conversation in itself..

also an owner changing his " reason for selling " ? First was to old, then was no room and now bought another house? Lol.

I have been looking for a Gtr for ages too mate and just keep looking, I am actually over looking but have to wait for the right car.

To put it all in perspective though when you buy a gtr, you are buying an old car that needs a lot of time and money spent on maintenance straight off the bat.

So, in otherwords an absolute piece of sh!t.......

Pretty much, but the problem is someone will buy it and then sell it to someone else saying " doesn't have log books or Japanese paperwork " and fool someone else into buying rubbish..

I think I have been completely turned off a gtr now after looking for a decent and honest car for so long.

when I got my pulsar gti-r many years ago it had every bit of paperwork being a 4A auction, when I sold it, I had every single receipt and replaced part on a list, even had the umbrella in the car that is located in the door..

thats why it absolutely baffles me that no one keeps paperwork for a Godzilla? It's a gtr not just a commodore or falcon :/

I just hope no one on here gets fooled into buying rubbish either.

Finally now in a decent full-time gig, and in a position to actually look for an R32 GTR, i'm shattered to see they're now asking 35k for a rusted out shitter when they used to be 20k for a good one 7 or 8 years ago.

God help anyone that's chasing a BNR34, now charging 70-80k for a non-Vspec when they used to be 40k.

It's partly the younger generation of car enthusiasts that grew up with these cars on the highest pedestal, I also think due to the floodgates in the US opening a few years ago for R32s, japan auctions went through the roof cause of some guy in the US with a skyline fetish would outbid you blindly by 10k- importers have to pay more, and domestically people look at the auction prices and jack up their own.

Scary cause I don't see these cars dropping any time soon, and i'm scared it's my last chance to buy my "forever car" before it gets unattainable...

I'm in the same boat looking for a decent R32 Alex,

but I also won't buy a rusty heap of rubbish or anything with bent in rails at all.

The thing is though once the 33's are allowed in USA you will see massive demand on them considering there was only 16,xxx 33 gtrs built making them a lot more rare and then the 34's with their 11,xxx built.

I don't like 33's and it is a very small amount of people that do but the Americans love them going by everything they say on forums.

The prices will rise and people will put a price on their vehicle but there has to be someone willing to pay that price, a lot of people don't see the value in them and to be honest I don't think I do either anymore.

If I don't find what I'm looking for soon I'm just going to get an evo and build that instead as it is so much easier to find one and the only worry is choosing to go evo ix or evo final edition.

  5. Evo. drop in cams, cam gears and e85 will be seeing close to 300kw atw from the 4g63 and will be reliable day in day out.

also red the 4g63 is one of the strongest 4 cylinder engines to ever come out of Japan, there's a heap of videos where evos run 600hp on stock bottom ends.

Just don't buy a rwd skyline, mates have had them and they have got rid of them.

    Car Price Changes

    Hi,

Just wanted to get another person's input as i'm not sure the reasoning. What is with so many cars these days listing their price and increasing it by large increments a few hours/days after listing. Like most individuals who follow the cars will know it has increased and many especially on carsales have notifications for price changes. Anybody have any clue?

    Regards,

    Peter

Your on the money there Peter, I have seen heaps of these prices going all over the shop.

The white R32 in Victoria was put on Carsales the other day for 33k and an hr later it was 39,900..

Another is a silver one in nsw was 39,990 then went down to 35,x00 then up to 36,800 for a month and now it's back at 39,990 haha.

  7. This one is no good, been crashed at the front.

why has it got a nismo cluster when the adm is already a 260kph dash? Strange plus....

I found this exact car in a write up online ages ago stating it was just in someone's backyard sitting around being treated like rubbish?

You don't ever just leave a gtr uncovered in a backyard..

  8. Does anyone know about this " Sydney auto house oz " ? It's the same as prestige auto house?

If it associated with the dodgy tampering import clowns?

so many dodgy importers.. what they do is have a seperate company in Japan buying cars from auction, change auction sheets and the " import " company here buys the car from that car yard in Japan.. which is the loophole to get away without any backlash.

From my dealings with them and talking to others who have bought from them i wouldn't say they're dodgy and their cars are of a higher quality although they have claimed them to be different years (to make them more desireable i assume) like with this car and another silver one I was keen on but anyone who's dropping 40+ on a 32 should be able to figure that out for themselves.

This is the reason I ask as this is the car, if you look at vin number below in pic.

This is at heart beat cars, and wondering if they provide the same auction report as what was at the auction..

It sold first time at auction so if they have a report with "4B" then they would have altered it..

I'm pretty sure the car was originally purchased at auction by heartbeat in Sydney.. They originally advertised it as a 93 model but its a 92. It was taken down and then advertised at this current dealer.

So these heartbeat cars place is dodgy? Or are they ok?

i have seen a couple gtrs for sale there, one was for sale with " 4b " but like mentioned above I had seen it at auction with 4c, was only there for one auction so must have sold, so they must photoshop the auction reports?

or am I just way off track? Haha.

Good luck Zilla be patient and find the right car, there are good examples out there. But they sell quick. I got lucky my car has everything you want, fully documented history, from Japanese auction sheet, import papers and just about every receipt from the build.
And no, it's not for sale

Are you sure you don't want to sell yours? ;)

  12. Hi gtr owners. I'm looking for an R32 Gtr.

    Hi all members,

I have already posted in the wanted section for a R32 Gtr.

I have been looking for one for a long time now, and only find rubbish or rust buckets.

Im wanting either a built R32 gtr with every receipt of the build no exceptions.

or, a standard R32 gtr that I will build myself and must have standard 180kph dash cluster.

has to be a non-smokers car or not smoked in, interior has to be in good condition as does the exterior ( yes car may have small dents or scratches as it isn't a brand new car ).

preferably Japanese logbooks, de-reg and auction report ( some don't have much paperwork though ).

I ain't here to waste anyone's time, the car will have a full mechanical inspection, dyno power run, and compression test at my own expense and check for any rust or corrosion aswell underneath.

    highest regards

  13. I'm still searching and will give up soon enough.

if it is a built R32 It must have all receipts of the build no exceptions.

if it is a standard R32 it must have the standard 180kph dash and in good condition all round.

preferably Japanese import papers, de-reg and auction report ( although some don't have paperwork ).

I would like a built one as mentioned but I don't mind a standard as I would have it built properly.

    Highest regards

Good luck Zilla, I was looking for a little while, all I can say is check every forum you can. There is more then just car sales. I also emailed/messaged CRD, Racepace and JEM asking if any customers were thinking of selling. Something will come up, you just have to be persistent. Looking for the right car took over my life, my wife was getting the shits with me and I was on the verge of giving up when I found my car. Right now couldn't be happier, it was well worth the hunt. Just make sure you get the right car for you, don't settle.
I also have to say had help from friends and a new friend/member from here, Steve, he helped me a lot through my search gave me slot of information, thank you Steve, I owe you a beer, next year at the GTR festival.
Anyway good luck and if you need any help or my opinion on a car, pm me.
    Cheers

    Thanks old man gtr,

yeah mate it does take persistence that's for sure, still searching though.

With the 34R, there was a definite figure thrown at me. It was quite reasonable for the year 2017 and equivalent to what the Chinese have been prepared to pay in order to get this type of car initially through HK.

With the 32R, the two offers were not in dollar terms - only that these two guys be contacted should the car come up f/s.

Well there we have it! What goes on at a Festival!

Which 32R was yours at the festival?

    Is it currently for sale?

  16. Wanted: R32 Gtr

    Hi all,

I'm looking for an R32 Gtr, been looking for a good while now and only keep seeing rust buckets and cars that are just rubbish condition regardless of price and what the seller talks about the car.

I either want a modified with a built engine already or a stock standard one with no mods or minor like exhaust etc.

Preferably in grey, black, silver or blue.

I hope someone on here knows of any for sale in any region of Australia but in good condition, no rust and doesn't smell like smoke which I have seen a lot of also.
