Have you adjusted the idle screw? Maybe it needs to be wound in a bit.

    Stock ECU?

Funny I check up on this thread, it was the idle screw. It was too loose from putting the throttle cable in after I fixed her up haha. She’s getting ready for road as if the past couple weeks :) been a lot of money spent in the past couple weeks and a lot of time spent pumping out the jobs

  2. Good news!

my neo 33 is alive. As of a month ago

and as everyone knows, when something’s done, something follows.

i got my neo started, it randomly died etc. realised the afm wires weren’t even wired so I rewired and now she runs, no dying etc.

next step: she’s randomely revving up by itself, my aac valve is wired, so what’s the go??

    Cheers fellas.

ps, my cas was on the wrong angle Aswell and I’ve changed it back to the angle before I pulled it off and haven’t started her yet since to test, will update on this.

  3. Ok here’s a list of exactly what I’ve done for my r33 neo. This is whilst retaining all r33 bolt ons, plenum, oem coilpacks with the loom, injectors & rail with the loom using a s2 R33 rb25 engine loom and starter motor loom.

comtinues to turn really strong, but no firing up. Fuel pump works fine

-changed plug for o2 sensor to suit neo
-changed vct solenoid plug to suit neo
-extended the TPS plugs to reach neo throttle body
    -reversed cas
-variable air control intake solenoid valve plug changed to suit neo & canister purge control valve plug to suit neo

That’s about it. IGN relay is there, ecu is in, white thing is plugged in I’m pretty sure it’s in properly.

  4. So I’ve got my neo from a 34, manually converted and dropped into my 33. i know it’s been covered but can’t ffind much to help my needS.

    Who has done the conversion?

Using the neo engine loom.. what plugs straight in and what wiring needs to be done?

What have other people done in the past?

    Need new pick up.

ASR do a RWD sump for GTR motors and supply you with a new pick up.

I bought one for my AWD Neo motor going into a RWD land boat.

Well I finally found what I was looking for.

when Nissan produced the GTS4 (AWD), they manufactured the block with both sump patterns (AWD and RWD) is the rwd will bolt straight on with a tiny chop to the baffle or a new oil pickup.

The original DE (GTS) was only manufactured with the RWD pattern, which is why you can buy add on plates to attach a AWD sump, but not a RWD plate because it’s not needed, it’s already there on the GTS4 block.

I tried looking for aftermarket ones ones online but couldn’t find anything of internet unless it was a 7 grand complete dry kit, I’ve just left it be and decided to bolt on the rwd sump, if worse comes to worse and I’m completely wrong, I’ll just use the AWD sump and weld up the axle holes!

  6. Hey everyone,

    noobie question.

if I get an AWD Rb25de for my RWD R33, I will need to modify the sump on the engine.

I did research online and can’t find much however I do know I have to weld up the front axle holes in the sump.. is that all?

Or is there an adapter plate I can just buy to bolt the rwd sump onto the engine with a AWD bolt pattern?

    Cheers everyone

This.  So much this.  I read the thread before anyone else replied, shook my head and closed it again.

Basically the real answer is this.  If you have such high ignorance of what might be needed doing on the car to handle 1000HP.....it's probably best not to do a 25/30 and not to aim for 1000HP.  Just don't.

After reading my thread I have realised I do sound like an idiot. I’m asking the wrong thing in the wrong context

  8. So my r33 gtst is a stock rolling shell, 4.11LSD, manual converted etc.

so recently I decided, since I’m new to this rb25/30det build (was never aware), that I would build one for my gtst, hoping for around 1000hp? What hp do others get?

    Anyway to the question.

What changes to my shell do I need to make to reach the 1000hp mark. I’ve heard things such as getting a different subframe to hold a bigger fuel tank and more pressurised fuel pump with massive injectors in the head etc etc. basically I’m unaware of what I need done to make this goal.

Any information is appreciated and would love to hear how everyone has done their builds.

note: this is not building the engine, it’s for changes to the shell if it’s needed to make my goal)

    thanks everyone
