  1. Great day today at Tsukuba! Big thanks to dr1ft.jp who's site really is a must for people heading to Japan.

Nytsky - I can't PM so I'll post it here!

Take the rapid to Chiba Station,

Leave the station and hit Chiba Monorail

Goto 'Town Hall' station for Upgarage, if you don't see it from the monorail, stand on the walkway over the main road and you will see it (50-100 metres down the road)

Goto 'Sports Centre' for Crystal, go down the elevator and follow the road to the right. There is a nice new wheel store along the way.

Goodluck and prolly see you on Wed's at Fuji.

    Gav.

  2. I am planning on heading to Tsukuba 2morrow... although a local I know who lives in Saitama does not know of any event occuring? Should be interesting!

Futo sounds great, might be doing that on the 18th I think... hopefully getting back to Yokohama will be ok... out of curiousity, what time did you get back there to catch the train, or you had accom in Yoko?

    Gav.

  3. Booked my flights last night, flying into Osaka on the 7th,staying there a few days then catching a train to Tokyo to spend the rest of my time there including the TAS(woohoo). Two tix to Osaka was 2,105 bucks bloody cheap!

We all should meet up somewhere the night before for dinner. Will be going to Nismo factory and checking out some other tuning shops.

Sounds almosts like my plans, we fly into Osaka on the 6th, fly out on the 23rd..... Lets hope the Yen goes back up before then.....

  4. Yorik - That MP3 file is great *thumbs up*.

Im going to look into what Borders have on the topic. I've looked at my Uni libary database and they have some stuff 2.

    Cheers,

    Gav.

  5. Thanks for the feedback guys :D

Cheers Yorik for the file.. I'm slowly d/l it as we speak. :P

I’m around Hornsby (NSW). My best bet is Chatswood from internet research etc etc....

I went to Japan back in 2004 with Blitz and a few other ppl. Since then I’m like "I gotta live over there for a year.. or 2" see how we go.

I have 1 more year of uni (BA of Education), mid 2006 I'm hoping to have some kind of idea of the Japanese language for the JET application.

    Cheers guys...

I'll let you know if I find anything to help other ppl looking on here.

  6. Hey Guys,

Sorry about the bump of the old thread, I want to learn basic Japanese, mainly speech.

I've searched, d/l the programs/got the urls, so that’s covered.

    Other than:

Uni - Not offered at my campus

    Tafe - Can't get there/clashes with uni

    Private Tutor's - Seem expensive - understandable.

    Japanese g/f - :P hehe

What other options do I have to learn the language? Really need something weekends... (Saturday school isn't open to uni students from what I have been told...)

Its looking like a PT is my only option but I thought I'd give this post a go.

    Cheers,

    Gav.

  7. Hey man,

Why don't you apply for JET? Applications opened this month. www.japan.org.au i think the link is... Unless working for a private company like Nova is better?

    Gav.

  8. I think you should do some mods man B)

Its not too hard to get a FWD SR20DET to do 12's on street tyres.

    I have a GTI-R donk in my N15, GT28RS, Std ecu, 210kw atw. - 12.6 @ 116mph on Toyo RA-1 Proxes. :D

I'll admit on the street with 18"s, shit tyres, stereo etc etc, even with an LSD box and AVCR it only does late 12's.. but i know of 1.. maybe 2 GTR owners on this forum that can vouch for what im saying.

    Gav.
