  2. If you want roof Racks, these are what i used.

Brand: Prorack and part number is K066 for the Nissan cefiro, 88-94.

They are in the New Zealand Catalogue so will need to be ordered in.

    cheers Alex.

  3. OK this is sorted. I orded some today.

For people who are interested, they are Prorack brand and part number is K066 for the Nissan cefiro, 88-94. They are in the New Zealand Catalogue so will need to be ordered in.

    cheers

    Alex.

  4. Hehe ...ask nissan ......they never know what a cefiro is half the time.

Plus IF they have the part they charge and arm and a leg for it.

Cheers though ......I know cefiros are not normally seen with roof racks .....i just want to be able to take mine to the track and then put the roof racks on and carry the kayak to the water every now again! hhehehe.

    Ask Nissan? You never know.

Best bet would be to get something made up, odds of finding a A31 specific set is'nt looking good, and to be honest I don't think alot of people would've tried sets from other cars - Ceffies arent the kind of car most people'd put roof racks on.

I've seen a set on ImportMonster ONCE, but it was a full moon and all the planets were aligned and shit.

  5. hmmm....ok ....thanks for the info

but i suppose i was after whether people had tested some of the new brands like rhino etc and found a set that maybe work for the cefiro from another car. Im going to go to roof rack city and see if they can help but just trying to obtain some info / research before i go.

  6. With the rear hubs, the R33 upright (hub carrier) won't fit as it uses different strut mounting point. But if you undo the 5 bolts on the back of the upright, you can remove the 5stud hub and bearing and swap it over onto your cefiro gear. Saves you having to get rid of the R33 rear hubs and finding R32 rear hubs.

The whole rear r33 setup fits (hubs, discs and calipers) .......(did on mine) The things that dont are the brake lines front and rear but just get soem new ones made up at a brake place. U have to swap over ur cefiro hand brake cable into the rear r33 hubs ...a little annoying but fits fine. The strut mounting point is slightly different but still fits.

  7. If you dont need nismos one then go standard either Earls(not sure who they are) or theres a place in fairfield (sydney)called brake brothers. Just give them your lines and they will make up a new set from it within a few hours... easy. I got them to make a few adjustments as i was doing a brake conversion at the same time.

  8. Didnt realise so many people were having problems with him

Ive never had a problem with him, great guy. Got my suspension custom made through him got swaybar end links, cradle bushes free for helping with swaybar testing for the cefiro. Heaps of advise about suspension setup. If people are still have problems contacting him i have his mobile number.

  9. Turned out that the company that makes the alignment machine actually have settings for the Cefiro, and they're slightly different from the Skyline.

This scan should show the valid ranges, and also what a crap job the garage did at aligning my car. It handles worse than when I took it in.

Settings may be different if you have an RWD Cefiro. In fact they almost certainly are due to the different suspension design.

Any idea how to fix the front caster and rear toe? Also any cheap way to adjust the front camber as the current level of camber is preventing me from lowering the car

There should be some camber bushes available through whiteline ........definately for the rear ....front bushes might be similar to the skyline .....

  10. whats a reinhard?

also just got the bonnet shocks regassed .....its awesome having a bonnet that rises by itself and STAYS up!.

also paid a visit to pick n payless and picked up another BMC 44 (off a lonely old laurel sitting with the r31's and pintaras) as a spare and washer bottle and pump of a falcon. Aim is to make a sprayer for the sidemount cooler for track days and really hot days. bit a of a an experiment. see how it goes.

  11. oh shi*t, was this while u were driving? sorta looks that way if it hit ur boot! that happend a few times in aus and most bridges now have mesh and wire on them to prevent that. oh and also what bunch of idiots !

if you are only going to do a few mods. Just do the swaybays, maybe the r34 smic upgrade (bolts striaght up, some minor cutting to the bottom of the front bumper) and a small amount of extra boost. but other than that leave it the way it is ....much more drivable and enjoyable!. esp around town. Oh and maybe a some better brake pads.

  12. its got an exhaust ......3inch all the way with a silent muffler on the rear (twin tips) split front and dump off the turbo. Not sure how it looks stock with 2 shiny tips sticking out the back but im glad ur not noticing it cos thats how i wanted it ...legal looking ! Its fairly quiet too but has a good rumbly sound when idling and a bit of a roar when it gets excited. haha
