  2. Hi All,

My 2002 V35 350GT-8 is up for sales in the classifieds section and on Carsales. It's a nice looking V35 that is made even more unique by the addition of a full Impul bodykit. I need to sell the car as my finance period has ended and I don't want to refinance it again as we no longer need two cars.

Car is located in Victoria and is registered for 12 months. More info can be found at the following link along with a link to the Carsales ad were a bunch of pictures can be found.

  3. Price drop - $15990.

    Hi All,

I have for sale my 2002 V35 Skyline 350GT-8 for $16,990 with around 92000 kms on the clock. I have been the only Australian owner since it was imported and it has been well maintained every six months at a Nissan dealer (paperwork available). A full Impul bodykit is fitted and the front bar was resprayed recently so stone chips are minimal! I have purchased an AV cable and fitted an iPod dock to allow you to play your own music and video through the Bose sound system and pop-out monitor.

Car is registered in Victoria for 12 months and a RWC will be supplied prior to sale. Below is the link to the Carsales ad with numerous photos and additional information. I am selling the car as it was financed on a lease, which is about to expire and I no longer need the car as I live very close to my new workplace.

  5. Very nice car mate.

I totally forgot I had a backseat armrest...

What does the video out for you from the ipod? What's the setup?

Also I paid a guy $100 from a smash shop and he got rid of the weather shields properly. Don't try and do it yourself, but it looks so much better with them off if you've been thinking about it. I know I was.

    Hey mate,

The AV out from the iPod is part of the DLO Transdock I purchased from Dick Smith a few years ago. It plugs straight into the cigarette lighter and you can adjust the placement of the dock pretty well. The AV plug is a standard 3.5mm AV plug and the cable goes back into the boot and plugs into the AV unit connector I bought from Chris Rogers for $60! Pretty cheap way to get video running on screen to be honest.

As weird as it sounds, I kinda like the weather shields! Not sure why, but they dont both me much

  6. Hi Guys,

Just revisiting this old thread due to finding out some new info as to what the beeping noise I am getting is refferred to. After a lot of troubleshooting, I finally found the error whilst monitoring the error codes the headunit records in its in-built diagnostic tool. I have managed to isolate the fault down to what is called an 'ES Information Line Cut Error' which displays as 'E-COM ##' on the inbuilt diagnosts, where ## is the number of time the error has occurred. I have been accessing the diagnostics menu by pressing 1 and 6 for a few seconds within 5 seconds of turning ignition onas per the manual. Basically, according to the G35 Workshop Manual I have, as shown in the attachment, this error occurs when the flexible printed circuit is disconnected between the electronic tuner / A/C controls and the audio controller. As far as I know this is the printed circuit board that attaches to the bottom right of the centre console, is this right?

From the above info, and based on what I have experienced previously with the flexible printed circuit cable, my cable may be a bit buggered. Does anyone out there happen to have any tips or tricks as to what I can do to get it working properly? I have previously resorted to securing the cable with electrical tape to ensure it doesnt fall out and thats still the current fix I have!

Any help would greatly appreciated as this noise is driving me crazy!!

    Cheers

  7. I too can put in a good word for Lakeside Nissan on Main North Road. I have been taking my V35 there since I got it, and have had no problems with any of the work they have done. I did once have a minor issue with some damage the car sustatined while being serviced (small gouge in spoiler) which they repaired for me at no cost and minimal fuss. Cant say much for prices though as my V is salary sacraficed through work and I get fleet prices :bunny:

  8. Hi All,

Thanks very much for the info and as everyone has mentioned, it appears I was misinformed on its capabilites!

With regards to the beep, I have tried pretty much everything I can physically change, including all the service reminders etc, with no luck. My six stacker's feed mechanism is busted and I think it might be related to that seen as I have been unable to find anything that might trigger it.

Anyway, looks like I will be living with the 'beep' for now!

    Cheers

  9. Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone out there has managed to get the OBD-II side of things working in their V35? I have a 2003 V35 350GT and I recently purchased a OBD-II interface unit off good old eBay which claims to be compliant with most protocols. After trying to connect to the car through numerous programs, the best result I have had to date is with a Palmer Performance ScanXL trial. This software will actually connect with my car but doesnt appear to recognise any of the parameters (PIDs) whereas most other software including Centrafuse, Nissan Data Scan, Autoenguity and many others, dont even connect to the car.

Is there any particular trick to getting the car to talk to the software properly? I have installed the necessary virtual com ports to allow the USB to act a a serial port and the physical link between the car and computer is sound as data is passed between both. Im beginning to think that the hardware i purchased simply wont work with the car due to some sort of protocal difference. Maybe its just a case of I got what I paid for!

Reason I am trying to sort all this out is as I get a beeping noise coming from my centre console randomly when the ignition is on. Previous suggestions from members have not yeilded any results so I thought I would try to see if I get any error codes that instantly clear when the noise occurs. Any assistance from anyone who has already got OBD-II working on a 2003 V35 would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    Laine
