Yeah i'm not that dodgy.
leading thought in my mind is gasket failed and part of it went into turbo? Note I have OEM gaskets, are they a nono? What do people use? (also for the split T4 gasket while is out)
The only thing in my mind is that it doesn't really explain why the EGT's on that cylinder are 250C lower.
I was thinking more about a double cone type of air filter. I heard a while back that they can loose the internal end cap. I have never seen this personality though. I was curious. As for the temperature difference, is there any chance of a bad instrument reading?

Air filters fitted?

Any bent valves? Could be a very expensive experience...

Looks good.

I am trying to picture this... I don't suppose anyone has a diagram to share?

Efr7163 *2 at 60 lb/min vs a 9180 at 90 lb/min.
Combine this with better throttle response and packaging on the v6 and there is little to loose. In my opinion...
Incidentally, 2.2 x 11k is approx 8 to 9k for a 2.8 or 3.0.
My thoughts then turn to a full on twin 7163 being the better bet on an all out 3.2L Rb26. I haven't seen this demonstrated vs a similar build using a maxed out 9180. Particularly in the power, throttle responses and reliability.
For most folk the big single is cheaper and a better package given that you have more than enough power to overcome grip on all corners until the end of third gear! Those were 255zr17 yokos on built 2.7 running a T78.
Happy memories, but a pig for the throttle response....

righto so I've convinced myself to throw the 1.05a/r 8374 I have sitting in my garage on the car and need to work out how the f**k you're supposed to plumb back twin gates without spending a billion dollars on fab work. I need to have the gates plumbed in. that Sinco manifold with the divider plate may be the go... anyone recommend someone in brisbane for exhaust/intake fab work? ive had bad experiences with several workshops in the past so i'm quite shy about who to go to.
I've found the following manifolds:
garage whifbitz: this looks ideal, but the design of the manifold has very different runner lengths and the cars sounds like a WRX. going from an equal length mines pipe, i can't deal with it. unfortunate because it looks very neat.
Sydney motorsport engineering/fullrace etc.: these have one gate out the front, but how do you route the piping back to the dump pipe from here? anyone have any pics of what they've done?
or this setup: unknown manifold (looks like 6boost) with both wastegate runners pointing backwards (by scotty on this forum I believe)
I have witnessed the Wifbitz manifold and turbo setup running in a tight time circuit time attack r32. It went like stink! As for the waste gates sounds they are muted. I was just staggered at how the beast ran.

I think that the point of variable intake cam timing is to be able to have the torque building / boost earlier (better cylinder filling... ), whilst also having a large duration at higher revs.

A very good question.

Me too, please...
-
Is it enough flow for the hp required ?
-
The smaller engine has to run at a higher boost pressure to make the same power. Therefore the position on the turbo compressor map will change. Usually to less efficiency and so higher temperature.
-
What turbo manifold are you using?

-
Engine details? Would help us to make a comparison...

Is that a Gtx3582? At what boost level?

I was under the impression that the GTX range of Garret turbos used a metal cage... I could of course be wrong. Thanks for the answers though.
-
Do the HTA FP 3582 & 3586 turbos use a metal or plastic cages in their ball bearings?

Just look up "mad Mac evo". He has successfully run a compound turbo supercharged car. An evo . Which is a winning machine!

Comparing to a set of 2530.. is the 6262 BB laggier !? BTW. please educate me.. whats the difference between 6262 and 6266 ?[/quote
Good question!
Is the 6262 less laggy than a pair of 2530's ? 2530's on a 2.6 is respectable set up for sure.

Any news on how this went ?

I believe from memory Group A R32's ran up to 18x10J inch rims.
