  1. ps. hate the music :D

Cant impress everyone but hey I have had quite a few people ask me what's the song title :). I think it goes along well with the sunny/fun theme.

    Thanks though.

Pretty cool. Personally I'd have no music when you're actually driving, but there wasn't a whole lot of it in the film anyway.

I would have done that definitely, but the built in microphone is really bad, there's no option for an external mic so all those driving scenes consisted of was wind noise ;). Anyway I was driving the whole cruise so had my passenger friend film the in car moving shots, hence why there wasn't much of it.

  2. White R32 GTR overtaking me (Gunmetal 180sx) on Bourke road yesterday about 6.30pm, I was admiring the echo of my exhaust between the buildings and didnt realise there was a GTR behind me

  3. I'm there too in the gunmetal grey 180sx with the ARC front mount.

Carpark 8 is where the imports roll!!

lol, me and my friends used to do this between eachother, so lame coming to your car and having to walk around pushing the wiper blades down with people looking at you or a car waiting to take your carpark spot  hehehe

  4. Who you with Gazza750? My insurance last year when I first bought my car was ~$2800 and now im 19 and the renewal came in at ~$2100 with Just Car, so atleast its some relief although they bumped the excess up a couple hundred, farout. Postcode plays a big role in insurance premiums I think.

Also, with Just Car, its my understanding that you pay extra premium for the first 5 or so mods, then after that every extra mod doesnt affect your premium.

  5. the stock intake pipe is flexable. and it IS a legal requirement for the pod to be mounted...

I have a stainless steel intake pipe, do you guys think that I still need to secure it? I have a heatshield made of firewall material around it, I'm hoping that if the reply is I have to secure it, that I can just use zip ties?

  6. I bought my car with a cheap respray done to it, it looks neat from a distance but once you get close and have a good look there are so many imperfections. From paint flaking and running to the dreadfull edges where its been taped and sprayed, I even have to be carefull when washing with the woolen mit as it can hook onto the edges where the paint is cracking/peeling. I didnt notice so many imperfections when I bought the car but I noticed more and more as days went by, was still a great buy though :D

If you really want I can take photos of the bad bits and you can make your own mind up.

  7. Here is my first car, I bought it a couple of weeks ago. I was going to purchase an R32, but I couldnt pass up this 180sx, and i hav'nt regretted it one bit >_< Still needs a proper clean to bring up the shine, previous owner had'nt driven it for a good 10+ months so I figure he has'nt waxed/polished it since, neither have I :D

  8. So how would one go about checking up on a car that is not compiled. Seeing as you cant drive the car to a reputable mechanic? Will a rev's check still be worth while? The car im particularly thinking of is sitting at a Mr Muffler shop, so they may help with a check?

This is for a car that was imported by 'someone' and selling it after getting it compiled and rego'd for the buyer.

  9. Do plan 2!!

I am in the same position as plan 2, got my P's in July and searching for an R32 right now. I sometimes drive my friends manual cars here and there (Pulsar's to R34's) and i find that i really have not forgotten anything from what my instructor taught me many months ago. I find the guys who taught themselves by purchasing a manual car and not getting taught lessons, still suck at manual a few months after getting a manual car.

Other people will have different views, but this comes from experience, and by the way i did about 12 hours with driver instructer in a manual car. No manual car in the family, ever.
