  1. Your both right, it may hold a bit longer then. Soon I need to change the synchros, should I fit the billet plate while I'm at it? Or just a waste of money?
  2. Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
  3. Not sure yet. Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that🤣 So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough🙄
  4. Just thought they where clunky in low speed, like tight traffic. Anyhow, they are out of my price range.
  5. Well that is not a sign of good quality.. Understand, but not so nice to drive on the street I suppose and out of my price range..
  6. Oh. Did it last long before it broke? What trans did you end up with after that?
  7. Was that 470kw at the wheels? Do you know how much torque? Was it third gear that let go?
  8. Do you know if he had a plate on it? What use did it see before it broke?
  9. How many of you guys run the synchro os giken set and at what power? Do you then also use the billet plate? How is it launching with it, any dragy times from 0-60? 60ft?
  10. Yeah, saw the ratios, not impressed. Would like the punch I have in the first gears now. With those ratios it won't be the same. Also want the h pattern gearing, or at least a quiet gear set that don't need to come apart for service each year. Looks like the only "reasonable" way Is a 8hp70 transmission, but where is the fun in that🤷‍♂️
  11. Ok. What is the go to transmission upgrade that can handle some abuse with around 700nm at the hubs? Must be quiet gears as the car is being street used.
  12. Ah, that was not the answer I was hoping for. Is it only third gear that is the weak spot? Or do you have to change the whole gearset to make it hold some power?
  13. I thought it could be an issue because the standard plate was flexing when stressed. Maybe the original gear set will hold a bit better without flex? Last time on the dyno it made around 670nm at the hubs. Now it have bigger turbo and better intake but have not been on a dyno yet. The car is being used from family trips to drag race events. So the shifts can be a little violent. It is grinding if I shift to fast so was thinking I should overhaul it soon.
  14. Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
