  1. I Found Tmaree_R34's Black R34, completely at random !

It only made it from Coburg to dePreston, so hopefully my White Stag's still somewhere in the area.

    - It did have a full tank though, so who knows

"The USA Surf" sticker on RHS of my Tailgate is kinda distinguishing, eyes peeled & Holla if you see anything thanks guys :-)

  2. . ..And then I wake up and get the best news in the world (:

Haha Dude how late do you sleep ? ! !

I was trying to call & sending messages until nearly Midday !

Glad you got your wheels back home, did they get any prints ?

The R34 was just sitting there, in a suburban street not looking particularly out of place except for 3 weeks of dust, 2 parking tickets and a notice that Gas works were going to happen, and please move your car !

Just goes to show - cars get dumped in quiet suburban streets, where there's no cameras & everyone's asleep.

*Keep your eyes peeled for White C34 Stag with Towbar & "The USA Surf" Tailgate sticker plz guys!*

p.s. Everyone get an immobiliser! that's first on my list if the Stag comes back.

    Or two immobilisers. And a club-lock. and a rottweiler. Grrrrr.. . .

  3. Maaaannn that sucks the big one.

Did you get it back on the road, or was it written off ?

Mine went missing last night, virtually Identical spec RS4 with Towbar and "The USA Surf" Japlish sticker.

    Preston / Coburg area. Grrrr.. . .

  4. Are those Bride seats geniune? Willing to post to 4109 Brisbane?

    Hi Al,

I'm not really sure if genuine - they came with a car I bought, which I'm stripping to make into a track car.

I think I saw somewhere that genuine Brides have an alloy frame, and these are Steel.

    - Pretty good copy if they are fakes though, can't tell by looking at them.

I'm in Preston if anyone wants to have a look at them.

They were only in the car for 6 months, and most of that it sat in a warehouse. There's barely a mark on them.

Can freight to Brisvegas, but not included in that price - it'll be extra :-)

All questions, and reasonable offers welcome. - Nathan.
  6. I've had mine since this thread was forgotten about, pretty much. Hasn't fallen off yet !

I've moved house twice, towing my Karting box trailer chock-a-block full of whatever would fit. Hasn't missed a beat.

Best of all - the tailgate clears the tow-hitch handle by about 70mm, so you can always get into the boot.

    Good times guys, good times.

  7. Hi Guys,

I'm stripping out a MkIII Supra for the track, for sale are the 2x Bride Low-Max seats that came with it, and the Original Supra Recaros.

(We're putting in fixed-back race seats)

The Driver's Bride is almost as-new, and the passenger's only has marks from mounting, and sitting on the floor, you'd barely know it's been in a car.

$800 the pair ono, they're advertised elsewhere & on ebay.

    post-16283-0-24540000-1391083630_thumb.jpgpost-16283-0-91830100-1391083757_thumb.jpgpost-16283-0-48573600-1391083780_thumb.jpgpost-16283-0-73309000-1391083809_thumb.jpg

The Recaros have height & angle headrest adjustment, thigh-support adjustment, driver's has seat-base height adjust too.

Passenger's is in good nick, driver's - well you can see in the pic, foam is all good - it's just the normal wear points on the bolster.

Not bad for 25yrs old I thought.

$550 the pair ono, they're advertised elsewhere & on ebay as well.

PM me or reply here, Seats are in Preston, Melbourne.

First preference given to local pick-up.

Shipping, if sold interstate to be organised by the buyer, at their expense.

And no, I don't want to sell them individually. (sorry)

  8. That's enough to get this underway. I will get in touch with Locsed and start organising things. Anyone else who wants in will simply be able to call and arrange a bar themselves as the jig will already be made.

Can you ask - if Locsed can get it Engineer certified for a Max Braked Tow capacity ? (2000kg? 1800kg?)

Between 5 of us, cost should be reasonable.

Might be worth it, You know - with the legals & what-not.

  9. Funny, since I've stopped driving my R33, I no longer get the Big Bopper (Coppers) seeing a white skyline & following me through traffic for a couple of km's before pulling me over.

Only twice have I been pulled over now in 3 yrs of Commondore driving:

    1) 2010 - No Plates by HWP (when I bought it - had a temp.reg sticker - Legit pull-over reason I'll admit)

    2) 2013 - Tail-Lamp out by motorbike cop in the Cardinia/Dandy roaming taskforce.

In the Skyline I once had HWP see me going the other way (@99km/h) on country highway - pull a big U-Turn & overtake 2-3 cars to pull me over - just for being in a Skyline. Anybody who says imports aren't targeted just for being imports is either incapable of rational thought or a D!(kh3ad.

p.s. an ex-country cop I knew at work said: "All the a$$#oles get put in the Highway Patrol car, because none of the other cops can stand being stuck with them for a shift."

    I kid you not.

  10. Also, will that price include a removable square tongue?

    Ditto.

I have the cart somewhat before the horse here - won't actually pick my car up until next week!

Might need another week to get locked-in & finances squared-up, but I 100% need a towbar, so consider me in +1week.

  11. The HICAS computer needs a speed signal, and that comes around from the speed-sensor in a big loop, which passes through your speedo.

So yeah - no speedo = no HICAS. (My speedo's got a dodgey connection, and when it dies, HICAS soon follows)

    Hope that helps.

p.s. the steering has speed-sensitive valving, so when the speed signal goes away, the steering goes into limp-home mode, which is minimal asistance.

This sounds like what might be my problem, ever since I haven't had a speedo, my HICAS light comes on a lot, and steering becomes very heavy. As soon as I turn the car off and straight back on again its good for like ten minutes or so.

I have been told the speedo wouldnt have anything to do with it??? Its my actual speedo cable thats not connecting, I need a new one. Do you think by getting a new one this will solve my HICAS problem?

    Thanks in advance ;)

  12. I've done 60,000+ km on Ultimates, including 3.5 track days, all on 1 set of standard front rotors. I'm on my 3rd set of front Ultimate pads, and the discs were only machined once, 2 years ago.

    Brake Pad sticky thread

Maybe talk to RDA about their (possibly) soft rotors?

Did You take it V.easy on the brakes, when You first installed them? Bedding-in has an impact on rotor life - mainly for shudder, I must admit. :(

  13. Why are people paying $120 for Bendix Ultimates ? ?

    $85 people! (more or less) - Get a trade-contact . . . . . . STAT ! ! !

I'm on my 3rd set of Ultimate fronts (blame 3.5 trackdays for short life) since I got the GTS-T, and I think they're a GREAT street pad (no squeal, instant yet progressive bite, consistent feel) apart from all the dust.

    SO much DUST! :)

I get 3 laps @Winton on a 37deg. day b4 they fade, and I learnt how to brake in Karts! (I'm "less than kind" to 'em)

Actually, I'm damn-near abusive, considering it's my daily driver ! ! Speaking of which - I'm harsh on 'em street-style too. I've only (lightly) machined the discs once in 63,000km - and that was not long after I got the car. I don't think they're harsh on discs at all - however the pads get chewed up pretty quick on a full track-day.

I'm with Govich on having different pads for track days tho - I kinda get frustrated with doing 2 or 3 hotlaps, and then doing a cooldown. Conveniently, my engine's coolant hits 115-odd degrees about the same time as the Ultimates fade - so it's mandatory cooldown (in summer at least) anyway ! !

Where can the Queensland Friction pads be sourced from? Some of them sound pretty good.
