  1. well arnt your a tank poombah speaking on behalf of everyone on SAU. if noone cars then why does everyone keep talking in my posts. instead of sitting there like a fat shit why dont you start a constructive post of your own. mabey you should stick with the civic. it obviously suits your personality more. also my topics are no different to anyone elses. WTF IS YOU PROBLEM?

I have started constructive posts of my own Newbie, I no longer need to ask questions as I have gained a fair knowledge of my car from the *useful* posts that are started here

I'd tell you what my problem is but everyone else has pretty much already said what I think aswell.

& Judging by the majority of posts on your thread, people keep talking in your posts to bag you out

    Loser.

  2. In answer to the thread's question... The problem with my car is it's an auto :)

Magpies03 = I don't think anyone on the forum here gives a Sh#t whether you own a skyline or any car, The guys here are not stupid & they've caught on that you've been less than honest in your previous posts, who are you trying to impress? If you have a skyline that's great, so do I, big Whoop. If you don't then why waste your time & everyone elses making up bullsh*t?

  3. I bought the car with a private seller, and he tell me that he don't know the engine type. I got this car almost 3 weeks already, that's why i don't think that i can argue with him anymore. i like the car, but i more rather worry that the price that i paid is much more expensive that the price on the market. If yes, i will suffer a huge lost in the future when i sell the car. But before there have a guy who said it market value is $10500, so i think it will be $1500 for the sound system and the 17inch rim with new tyre. so i didn;t suffer much lost.

If you wish to still get a refund then I don't think 3 weeks is too long, maybe 3-4 months I would've said to forget about it.

If you want to take the effort, you should get some legal advice from a lawyer to see if you still have a good case. series 2 R33s with an rb20e are pretty rare, so it might be easier to try & find out the average market value of a non turbo series 2 r33 that has the rb25de, this will give you a good indication of how much value to take off because the car has an rb20e.

In my experience, mods such as rims & stereo systems do not add that much value to a car,

the main thing that determines a car's value is usually things like age & condition, kilometres, service history, average market value of the car etc.

As for a loss when you sell, imports such as skylines depreciate in value very rapidly. I bought my series 1 r33 almost 2 years ago for $16,000 & even then I was probably overcharged :)

(Okay, so my dad financed it for me, but now I make the payments on it  )

  4. Yang, are you happy with your purchase? Or do you have regrets that it is not what you thought you paid for?

You mentioned that you assumed all skylines either came with the rb25de or rb25det, so the fact that you were sold an rb20e means you still have a good chance of getting a refund if you act now rather than leave it till later.

Did you buy the car from a car dealership or privately from the previous owner of the car?

If you bought the car from a dealership & the seller said that "He didn't know" what engine it was when you asked him, then you have a better argument because it is the salesman's job to know what type of cars he is selling.

In either case you bought a skyline assuming it had a certain type of engine (rb25, rb25de) but you were sold a skyline with a lesser engine, possibly under a false pretense, this means the seller possibly knew the engine was an rb20e but didn't want to tell you so as to take advantage of you, however this is only a possibility & cannot be proven.

If the only reason you don't want to complain is your low english skills, than find someone you trust who can speak fluent english to go with you & argue your case.

If you are happy with your purchase & your car then at least you have a good looking car with a good build quality compared to other cars of the same age, just don't expect it to run like a performance car.

  5. i thought that type of engine went in the early R32 GTS? not in a 96 model R33 series II

R33's were offered as a bottom of the barrel rb20e

YanG = judging by your thread's name, if you bought the car advertised as a non turbo RB25DE, then you've been seriously mislead.

An rb25de should look something along the lines of the rb25det, without the turbo obviously

  6. i had a problem with my car... i just replace my battery last year from autobarn and it's start playing up on me now. If i dont drive the car for 1 day, the battery goes flat.. even my alarm stop working after that so i took my car to autobarn and they used a battery tester to test it. They said the battery is in good condition and its charging properly.. finding no faults to the battery so can anyone help me on this? I've had this battery for about 6-7months now .. so i dont know =/ oh and it didnt happen just once... it happens like 3-4 times in a week.. and everytime it happens i gotta jump start it to work again.

Have you had your Fuseboxes checked out? The one in the engine bay & the one in the back of the car next to the battery? Worth a shot...

  7. I think it's a step in the right direction for Nissan personally, They want to take on the global market with the next gen. GTR, but only time will tell if this gtr can leave the same mark that the R32 GTR left when it was first released.

No matter how great the R34gtr is, I still see the Euro supercar purists say things like, "but our cars look so much better", "It only beats my car because it was modified" etc.

I hope that this next GTR can shut up the purists & critics

The future of the GTR is looking very good I say :D

  8. the driver side one stays closed like theres no power going to it anymore and also anyone know where i can buy a front badge and side 2 badges?

Could be a broken motor on the driver side mirror, try folding out the mirror to it's proper position, make sure the passenger side is folded open aswell, then try to close them using the switch again & see what happens.

As for the badges, I'm assuming you mean the "GT shield" badges on the side of the car
