[Rb25 Vct Questions]

Hi guys I have a couple of questions. I’m about to put a rb25 in my car and i was previously running a rb20. I want to keep my rb20 loom and have no VCT and just run adjustable cam gears. My questions are

- What do i have to do to get rid of the vct on my 25. Can i just leave it unplugged or is their more to it?

- I also have stock cams for now, is a rb20 exhaust cam the same as an rb25 intake cam can i just change them over so i can run my adjustable cam gear or what cam can i use?

666DAN just letting you no that the "stepper motor" on the r34 iac valve is actually a electromagnet not a stepper motor. when the coil is energized it pulls the piston back if you no what i mean.

yer that is your Wax pellet. i don' think you can get it by its self you have to get a new iac valve.

It's the iac valve your wax pellet is stuffed I just went through the same thing with mine.

A quick test is to get a pair of multi-grips and slowly clamp the big black hose that goes between the aac valve and your intercooler pipe and your idle should drop back to normal.

yep its clean. the piston fell out by its self when i first took the stepper motor off.
