hi guys,
i dont know if this is the right place to ask this so if its not could one of the mods please move
anyway
i have a R32 4door with a SR20 in it (blasphemy i know but thats not the issue) when i bought the car the air con had already been removed,
this isnt too bad on most days but when we are getting high 30 degree days and i can garuntee it will be a hot summer i am seriously thinking of some how getting air con.
now the question can i fit a whole r32 aircon system back into the car?
will the compressor work with the sr20 or will i need a sr20 compressor? if i do need a sr20 compressor will the rest of the r32 system hook up ok?
now the other problem i face is the intercooler is mounted up behind the rad support with the radiator flush mounted behind using up the extra space gained by having the sr20 allowing extra short piping, i then have ducting running up from the front bumper to the intercooler. so the original place for the aircon radiator is no longer available
where could i mount the air con radiator? or is there an option for a smaller aftermarket aircon radiator?
hopefully someone here is a guru on aircon
thanks for your help

i run 17x9.5" +2 offset with 235/45/17 on there so a little bit of stretch. extremely flush fitment and a fair bit of rolling of the guards

since this is comming to an end and it will be all finished on monday.. iv started a new project
just going to clean up the boot and have a surge tank made. reason is that my current fuel pump (stock) is shitting it self when i go round corners.. so ill do it right the first time and have a bosch 040 intank feeding a 3ltr surge tank then have a bosch 044 feeding the fuel rail.. atm i will be using all new s/s braided lines and just connecting them to the old ones arround the fuel pump then later on when i get bigger injectors i will be able to run them all the way..
ideally you want a low pressure, high flow pump for your lift pump NOT a high pressure one like a bosch 040

ok that seems like a good idea thanks guys

what sort of cost is a single piece driveshaft
-
hey guys
just wondering if anyone has replaced the rubber bit around their driveshaft center bearing with a solid bush to stop any vibration when pushing alot more power, or do most people just get a single piece tailshaft?
is their any other options other than a single piece tailshaft
cheers
Mitch

this thread is amusing,
now she is going rb30 bottom end, and so the plans keep changing
-
we really need pics of you naked to help
hahahaha
-
sorry to redirect the thread another way but has anyone taken to the exhaust and inlet ports on the actual head themselves?
-
not that cheap apparently haha

i drift lots man and bee r rev limit things piss me off. its the same when dudes sit on the limiter. its f**king gay please dont do it. if your after flames then tune your car to do so. sorry to harsh your buzz but most crowds are bogan and will prob think your car is breaking. at least thats what its like in brisbane.
the bogan crowds love flames they dont think its breaking they love it... but you would know that because you drift lots haha.
but agreed tune your car to do it.

hey guys
just wondering whats the best price anyone has got for a gt3582R 0.82 rear, brand new?
-
if your doing drift show your drifting should be good enough to put on a good enough show lol
-
^^^ yer now that i know what it means it would be a good match up, its a shame i already have my manifold otherwise i woould have done it.
-
ok now i get what it means thanks for the insight.
in terms of power how much difference could it make having a twin scroll setup
-
so with a twin scroll a/r turbo you need to have a twin scroll manifold to suit aswell obviously with the front and rear 3 cylinders separated all the way into the rear housing.
-
hey guys,
just curious whats the difference between a twin scroll turbo or a single scroll and whats the benefits of it.
example i read somewhere on here about someone thinking that a gt3582r with a 1.06 t4 twin scroll would be a good match for a rb30det
what would be the comparison to this turbo on a rb30det with a straight up gt3582r with a 0.82 rear
is the 1.06 t4 flange twin scroll a custom job or is that the standard for the 3582r when you choose to go the larger 1.06 rear?
thanks

i thought you were making a sleeper, the bn kit is on of the bigger kits out ther for the s13, definately not a sleeper kit lol
-
how much difference would the 270's to the 264's be
-
i think italso depends how modified your car is, if you have some hardcore racing machine on the street everyone looks and everyone in an import will wave if you wave to them.
although in saying that there is the knobheads who dont know anyhting about the culture at all.
-
its ok i found it now, but i still ask the question does anyone know of anyone that has modified/fabricated their own sump themselves
-
yer i found that before but couldnt find it again, and the search function wasnt working.
so to answer your question i did read that before i posted...
-
has anyone done their own, like just added on wings to the original sump?
-
yer agreed you would never want zero castor in drift.

that helps heaps, thanks for that.
who sells aftermarket condensor's? is there an option to have a smaller condersor and mount it off to the side similar to how you can mount an oil cooler?
in regards to custom lines, do they have to be hard lines like the fatory ones or is there another option like braided lines?
