But nissan aren't better!! everyone knows that
hahahahahaha
-
That thing will be quick i dont know about making it handle, but i could be wrong can't wait to see isomething like that racing. I doubt it would beat AX's r34GTR around mallala though he should be pushing out alot more power than 320awkw + the handling of the GTR etc should make it quicker. Would be a fun race to watch though.
Good luck with it mate looks like that thing will be a lot of fun.
And thanks for sticking up for the GSR-EVO club as not many people realise the work that goes in to orgainsing a proper CAMS approved track day.
Hope to see you around at some track events.
-
Take it easy everyone!
AX was just gloating that a Nissan beat us Mitsi guys, and yes this time Nissan Won, but next time it will be different!
first of all It was very wet out there and Ax53 did very well to keep a RWD car out on the track all day. It was bloody hairy enough in an EVO still let me tell you.
second Matt (NO GRIP) is a top bloke and he did bloody awesome on the day and for a long while it looked like he was going to win. He drives his car hard and does it all the time. He beat me who was in an evolution 9 FFS. in a mirage!
As for having driven many cars that would eat AX53s car around mallala Dale, which one of his cars? He has four cars three of them which are set up for track and could be driven very fast around mallala.
everyone needs to have a coke and a smile
And then enter in the next time attack, It was awesome!

ha ha ha im going evo hunting!!!!! a little birdie told me some journo's from motor magazine are going to be there!!!! something to do with the evo 10
Looks like it will be open season up there sunday.
Well as they say when the flag drops the bullshit STOPS
I cant wait for sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is going to be awesome.
Its not to late to get entries in, so if you are in two minds DO IT!
Yep JMS will be attending.
-
Two weeks left
-
BUMP again
More entries means more fun!
-
BUMP for more entries!
-
It seems like it is pricey at $325, but you will have a CAMS licence that lasts a year. If you plan on doing any motorsport in the future you will need a CAMS Licence anyway. Or you will be stuck paying the $25 day licence everytime for prac days etc.
-
mine is only low power and cos its a GTS4 its lists of mods are high, so i have to race with the high power boys, but i will give it a crack.
Thats only in the AWDTC in the Time Attack you will all be competing against eachother and yourself.
Wouldnt it be nice to beat some of the big guns in a GTS4 though!
-
All are welcome.
Send those entries in people.
Having a sizeable skyline contingent there will make for plenty more fun.
So those of you with the massive HP GTR's clean off the dust and cob webs and get out there!
-
Spots are filling fast. Be sure to get your entries in early so you don't miss out

booo I've been hearing 1.24's i think but whether thats official times or not, fastest official time i can find is a 1.25 flat from the last modern regularity. So unless i come spectate, i guess ill have to wait and see these official lap times uploaded to natsoft
anyways, didn't mean to spam this thread but generally the costs involved and personal circumstances have stopped me getting out as often as id like recently but knowing that Matt is the only other somewhat serious FWD that i know of, id love to get out to the same event as him one day.
sorry for the offtopic.
I am pretty sure that the 1.25 was done in the pouring rain. so looks like you have to come and try to beat NO GRIP id say he is a hell of a lot quicker in the dry.
Awesome ax53 its good to have your support at all our events. Thanks
-
would love to enter this, NOGRIP Mirage needs some decent competition for the FWD trophy, anyone know what times he has run in that ? officially timed laps too...
All i can say is Yes Matt in No Grip will be running his car and Yes he is quick (sorry won't post times you will have see on the day ), No Grip will be the FWD to beat. There will not be many FWD entered so you will be definately in with a chance.

http://www.gsr-evo-club.net/viewtopic.php?f=102&t=10434
All info should be in both the entry form and Supp Regs.
The cost for a non club member is roughly $220 if you have a L2s Cams licence $230 if not with affliated club.
Any other questions i happy to answer so just fire away.

Awesome Fellas and yes Madaz no excuses!
I will enjoy seeing all you boys out there.
And Luke you can still put down a respectable time without huge power.
there will be a few classes EG FWD 4WD and RWD, so the chances of winning a trophy are pretty good.
This event is all about the the spirit of competition, will be a different atmosphere from a come and try day.
I can't wait!

It would be awesome to see a strong nissan contingent there people.

Nice Flameage!
That is one pretty special 33!
It was a very well presented car even amoungst the exotics a few commented on how well prepared the car was.
It sounded really nice going around too.
Go the Datto!

i know i talked a lot about it and would really like to have a shot but don't really want to join some random club just for cams would of likes SAU SA to be cams affiliated already
plus haven't got my new rims or 5 stud conversion on yet and need new tyres as im on the wear indicator for my rears so don't really need to be pushing it at an event
you will one day see me at one of these events and once you do I'm guessing it will be in the blood
Undertable Madaz if the car is not ready you do no race it, its that simple.
There has to be others that are ready and keen to compete in some way.????
Come on People
As they say the bullshit stops when the flag drops yeah? so where has everyones competitive spirit gone?
As for SAU SA not being CAMS affiliated, that is pretty slack of everyone on here, when i had my line i remember people talking about it, but it never eventuated.
There are soooo many of you and it really doesnt cost that much nor take much effort to become CAMS affiliated.
It would be really good to see SAU SA as a formal car club.
As a club SAU SA would have no problem getting members there are plenty of skyline people who are in to their cars and cruises.

These days are good to get a taste of what its like to drive around mallala.
Practice days can get very congested though and you can end up with very little track time.
Although if you get a day that not many people turn up you get more track time than the car can handle.
Also they will not let you drift at all if the officials see you drifting they will boot you off quick smart. Drift practice is usually held afterwards anyway.
All you guys that have a CAMS licence and have a bit of experience should really come and try the collingrove hillclimb on the 25th may. It is is no way grueling on the car and will be a good warm up for the practice day.
