awwww ok, yeh i was looking @ mine aswell, and im gonna cut ciruclar wholes for the piping in the front stone guard so i can keep it i'll post pics up once finished D:

  2. christ mate how many posts do you need to show people your

paint job, if everyone posted up when they got a paint job

forums would be a boring place

    jealousy is a sad thing....

and stagefumer err what do u mean by they dont come out with a front bar, havent you removed the lower stone guard ?

err am i barking up the wrong tree

  3. I doubt that he didn't get into top gear. I hate it when a car does a great time and then people say, "it wasn't on full boost", "the clutch was slipping" or it missed a gear".

excuse if i seem rude but please quiet in the cheap seats and shut up.

i was there and i saw the run in person so believe me when i say he didnt get into top gear and he did back off.

and was far from a perfect run.

to be perfectly honest i was dumfounded when i saw 7.92 on the board as i thought it didnt look as fast as sum of his previous 8 second runs.

  4. So ul definately need something realtively stiff for track work and knda soft for evryday use....give sydney kid a pm and ask, but my suggestion would be TEIN HA's instead of HRs, coz that way u get damper adjustable so u can just easily set it stiff wenu go out and smoother wen ur daily driving. Bit more expensive but well worth it, theres plenty of sus out there, im enjoying TEIN at the mo daily and drift.

im running s13 tein's in my r30 the super street damper kit,and ive found them to be excellent .

Not too harsh on the street and trust me the roads around my area pretty damn average,at the same time a very nice setup for the both the strip and the track im more then happy :P

And theyre both height and damper adjustable.

  5. well starting to look into options to build up the old 20's bottom end as power and age is starting to take its toll on the old girl.

i think that i am gonna go with arias pistons for the pistons, but not sure what kind of rods to source out?

who makes rb20 rods if anyone?

also i plan on working the rb20's head a bit, if anything to just clean it up and perhaps enlarge the valves a bit to aid in airflow.

    thoughts please!

    err rb30's are single ohc .. :D

  6. the rb20 box shifter sits back about 1/2 an inch past the end of the existing hole

i dont mean to be a cheeky bastard but what did you do when you fitted youre RB25DET did u move the engine forward or cut out the floor pan ... please enlighten me

    Thanks.

  7. hi ive got an 85 r30 four door,im currently in the process of building an rb30det for it , what i want to know is the rb gearbox easy to fit.

Like does the gear lever line up with the whole in the floor pan and do i have to change gearbox mounts ...

if anyone could shed sum light i would be most of appreciative...

    Thanks

  8. hi ive got a 1985 R30 skyline and im in the process of building an RB30DET for it .

I read of a few people transplanting RB series engines into them but i since the L20 gave up i havent even looked in the engine bay really .Are there any problems im going to run into eg.eng mounts dont line up or anything like that if its gonna be too much drama then ill buy a r32 and drop the engine in that.

Thanks in advance for you time

    Sam
