Unless fuel samples were taken from all over Australia at many different times, the results of the tests are bullshit and don’t hold much more validity then a debate on the internet.
Not really, a report is only as accurate as the data, and as long as this fact is mentioned in the report, then it is valid for the samples under test only.

Using Sydney as an example, am I right in assuming that all 98RON fuel sold here by BP and Mobil is either Optimax (from Clyde) or Vortex (from Kurnell) since neither BP or Mobil have refineries here?
Pretty much. Many years ago (OK, not that many) I worked at Clyde Refinery, and there was a single 6 inch pipe that went across the river to BP's facility in Silverwater.
If that is correct, do BP or Mobil (using Sydney as an example again) add their own additives to the fuel refined at Clyde or Kurnell to get their own unique fuel mixture which they then brand as Ultimate or Synergy 8000 respectively?Ahh ... here's where things get tricky, because one side is certainly not going to tell the other what they do
If they don't add their own additives, then I'm confused as to how there can be differing result between each of the fuels as essentially they should be one of two variants available (given that the tests were conducted in Sydney). There could be a few explanations. The fuel samples mentioned in the report say they drew the fuel from the bowser. Now, the fuel in the storage tank at the servo is going to be a mix of different batches of fuel, *potentially* from different sources. (ie: Singapore exports a fair amount of fuel to Australia). But, since the sources were mentioned in the report, then this needs to be accounted for.

Congratulations
/me stifles a few quiet sobs ... damn

Excelleant, good info, how old is " the older soundstreams"? Is my 6 year old one old or new?
cheers: )
If the amp is blue, then it's "older" The newer ones are all sorts of colours and for the most part have cast critters on them like spiders or what have you.
The older blue ones were incredibly over-engineered, I have a Reference 300 two channel unit "officially" rated at 37.5W per channel ... but can be bridged to 1/2 Ohm at about 300W:)
The reason the new ones aren't as good? The company went bust and I don't think the new owner of the name doesn't make them in the USA any more.

The Altia kit looks slick, especially the front bar. Don't think much of the Air Walker or the Nismo one either

The blue slip in NSW is for a car that is not currently registered (and has had expired rego for more than three months). The pink slip is a annual roadworthy check

haha, im such a cheap ass
3 party, no fire or theft (it was 250 extra and they would any pay me out 3k max.)
Ahh, and the truth comes out
After my experience in the last 12 months, there is no way I'd ever _not_ have full comprehensive insurance

Month-old thread, I know, but damn ... I got a quote from Just Cars for $1700 (admittedly, I don't own a Stagea ... yet) and I'm 33 with 65% NCB, car is garages in a low risk suburb.
Might have to ring them and talk in person to get reasonable rates....

Still no pics?

I think AlexCim meant "Crap.." as in "That sucks ", not "I think you know not what you are talking about"

/me <3's Soundstream ... but not the new stuff

With the forum "upgrade", there's hardly any pics in there at all

That's horrendous ... ew

The only thing that gets me about that pic is that it looks a bit like a hearse

and trying to stop a 1200hp car with stock brakes would be fun
I didn't know that huge Brembos were stock on a GTR

Are you going to follow the guide properly?
Where are you, contact details, pics etc?

Sorry, but these aren't worth spit. What they are is a 20 cent resistor that makes the ECU see an inlet air temp of 0deg, causing the ECU to advance the timing and run rich.

How the hell are they using a MD5 hash check on the images - must check the contents of the photos in bits and generate the hash from that.. it's very hard to have 2 MD5's that match - although it is not impossible. They should be running a better hash than that..
personally I think you get a crypto/security specialist in there..
That's the lamest reason for throwing out the evidence. The judge wouldn't know what the hell an MD5 hash check was..
Well, no doubt they produced "expert" testimony. I think the issue found to be in question would be if the MD5 hash is printed on the photo .. how the heck do you know that the MD5 printed has been generated from that image?
What will come of this is a change of process, like a custody of evidence procedure. ie: if a weapon is seized by police as evidence, the police have a paper trail of where that evidence has been so that it can be accounted for.

The late model RX-7's use a sequential setup.

All I can say is ... FWOAR!!!!!

I'm a Nissan fan from wayback, my first car was a 1970 Datto Sunny .. all 998cc of menace , After that was an R30 Skyline, then a Ford Laser (the horrible twin-carby "sports" model) and now driving a Pintara TR-X (stop laughing). Trying to convince the missus that a Stagea RS Four would be a good idea with another bub on the way

Are these units assembled? I'm guessing not.
I have finished building the Fuel Adjuster and Hand controller, took me approx 4 hours assembly and testing, also I'm qualified in electronics and experienced in assembly.
This unit is running very well on my Nissan Pintara, pov car lol.
Chris
Nothing wrong with the Pinny Have you tuned it up yet?

1ps is about 0.75kW

How much is that in aus dollars? How much would it cost to import? Does it have to be returned to stock?
Good luck trying to import a car from NZ if you can't prove you haven't lived there for a year.
For conversion rates, either http://www.gcitrading.com/converter.htm or www.xe.com

Since you're such a massive unit, I reckon you'd look comedy on your bike as well
