  1. I'm unsure on 2 things with the gearbox:

    You say it's been pulled down - has it had any bearings or synchros replaced?

    Also - does it come with the clutch pictured, and if so what clutch is it?

    the gearbox has been pulled down tanked and fully inspected for wear (synchro clearances measured) and damage the only parts requiring replacement were parts of the selectors the gearstick and all the control bushings in the extension housing this is what people in the trade call "reconditioned" but I'm a bit more honest than most

    if you buy the box for what I'm asking I'll include the clutch that's pictured

    and as for the clutch's I have five

    HKS twin plate ceramic type (its a re-branded Tilton 7.25 quarter master clutch) RB (20 25 26 30)

    ATS carbon twin plate and flywheel push type suit RB (20 25 26 30)

    ATS carbon twin plate push type and flywheel suit VQ35 VQ37 and probably others (was in a 350Z)

    a heavy duty organic extreme clutch and flywheel for R33 S2

    and the one pictured an Excedy organic plate looks like a standard replacement one with a fair bit of meat left on it good to get you out of trouble

    also I have a pair of caster rods with new noltec bushes $100 the pair

  2. hey guys I have another car for wrecking again

    is a 1996 S2 R33 Manual

    RB25DET long motor leak down tested all appears to be in excellent running order $1600

    R33 RB25DET turbocharger $350

    5 stud turbo brake calipers and discs front and rear $800 for a full set calipers have had all new seals and rubber bits done by power brakes

    5 stud conversion front and rear $350

    Flywheel and Excedy clutch $200

    5 Speed manual box $1600 includes a yoke and crossmember if you need one

    pulled down, hot tanked, checked for wear, all components that are used in my gearboxes are %100 genuine OEM parts (from main north Nissan) this box has a full brand new gearstick and all new control bushes

    Front Bumper support got a little dent in it so $80

    front fog / indicator light assembly $80 each left and right the wiring plugs are a bit howyougoing but they still look perdy

    R33 S2 VLSD diff $200

    5 bolt drive shafts need new boots $50 the pair

    Apexi SR muffler.. $200

Sorry but the harmonics have little to do with the crans balance.. the harmonics are caused by the defection in the crank when you make big power each firing stroke torques up the crank and then springs back.. The crank is a stiff mofo but it still twists and at some points in the rev range it hits a resonant frequency and the amount of angular displacement multiply s... It's still only a degree or two but it smashes oilpumps throws off belts and breaks balancers the point at which this happens is dependant on the mass of your rotating assembly the problem in our rb30's is the third order vibration with the node near the center bearing there are other modes of vibration but I believe that this vibration would cause the most angular displacement at the front end of the crank it happens at the flywheel too hence the loose flywheel there has been published journals by bmw loong a their straight sixes and they have gone all through it and aircraft in the old v 12(two straight sixes joined together) and ship engines all have thes e problems... And in ships and aircraft they just avoid those engine speeds bit hard in a car.. But I know for a fact that my rb in it's current form is resonant at 6800 or so because I have a solid center twinplate and the gearbox is hating life there did this on my phone so my writing is a bit retarded

    RB25/30det RB30E NA pistons and ACL race bearings

    cometic MLS head gasket

    R33 25 DET head with VCT delete

    500cc injectors(at the start then 700)

    Nisstune board

    Z32 AFM

    R33 S2 coilpacks

    Chinese verrry hiii quarity special exhaust manifold the stainless tubular one and a 38mm wastegate

    one of those greddy style intake plenums

    hybrid cooler

    3 inch exhaust no cat and a straight through muffler... and yes I looked inside it to see if its fallen to bits

    basically the problems are as follows

    when the thing is on the dyno the AFR and power is all over the place but trending lean this is at around 330rwkw boost steady as

    so I'm like hmmm more timing and less timing and a bit more fuel and a bit less fuel you know what I'm on about..nothings helping

    no misfires but we chuck some new spark plugs in nope not that... thinking its injectors now...not the size I've been told

    so I'm like MEH lets make the injectors go static at 4000rpm so she goes revvvvvvvvvvvchokefarttttttttttttttttttbammmmmmmmm 390rwkw so the combo is working just takes a dyno queen tune to get it

    so I say whip the injectors... got a set of 700cc bosch ones and a SARD reg lying around chucked them on scaled the maps still the same problem WTF but with more power 350RWKW

    now I don't know whats going on so we look at more fundamental things is the cam belt in the right place...yep whats the pressure and pump return flow... steady pressure and never less than 2lt min return to tank...hmm

    anyone got any ideas....i think the greddy style Chinese manifold is somehow holding up the fuel in it don't know it's a pretty rough looking item on the outside would think worse inside...

    the guy who owns it was happy as a pig in shit when he took it away so not really a problem just I would like to know whats going on because I have a RB30DET in my car and it tuned like a dream with 550cc injectors made 350rwkw and fast as hell in a Cefiro the only difference was mine has a plenum I made from some aluminum pipe a stock head flange and put some webber trumpets inside and a NEO head and the VCT works (VCT is worth it I think) and a haltech

    any ideas??? I'm pointing at the shite plenum...anyone had this problem before????

    make stock gtr power

    all the air going into the engine is going through the compressors

    and all the air going out is going out through the turbines

    basically peak power is the same but the response would be a lot better... if you want budget turbo upgrade chuck some s14 or s15 SR20 turbos on it then it will make 350kw cheap cheap... like a budgie

  6. the precision tO4r is very similar to a tO4 but the precision one has GT compressor wheel design and the old TO4 hot side and journal bearings so for road use... get a .82 or if they don't make one a .84 you will get 29psi with that using a big waste gate... you don't say what the purpose of this car is so it makes it difficult but if you were drag racing with a big stall converter and a trans brake you could go up to the next size I think that's a 1.00 and then 1.04 but a 1.15 is getting too big I think.. anyone else got an opinion??

  7. I have a Chinese bar and plate 100x600x400 or close to that size core that I have cut the end tanks off about 30mm away from the core otherwise it's perfect $80 in Adelaide too I was using it in a v mount setup made 400rwkw

  8. I have most of the suspension for a R33

    it had a bad interior fire so "most" of the suspension is there

    rear cradle with the bushes fire damaged so if your going to alloy lock bushes you don't need to burn them out

    all the rear arms but the bushes are no good ok if you want to replace them

    a R200 VLSD from a manual undamaged

    and front cross member front arms and castor brackets

    engine mounts and engine mount brackets

    front left upright

    probably the Silvia guys would be interested in... rear 5 stud conversion hubs and hand brake back plates no hand brake cables though

    anything else just ask super cheap prices just thought some guys would be interested in having some of it otherwise I'm just going to send it to scrap

  9. do you mean the front plastic under tray I have it say $50 I have all the under guard plastic bits there

    the only things left are

    the shell but had a few inquiries about it

    headlights but price dropped to 350 left and 300 right or $600 the pair including shipping if you need it

    both front guards

    both front and rear bars they have been straightened out because I took them off and they returned to how they are meant to be because the metal was holding them wrong from the first pics

    say $100 for either one front or rear

    and I still have the wheels and tires.. but I might keep them for drift specials for the ceffy and considering the condition I couldn't go lower than $650 for the set
