  1. Hi,

currently i'm running on a RB26 engine in my R32 which grunt out 610 on the wheel but i fell that it is running short of TQ.

hence was thinking to go bigger CC for the TQ.

should i go with RB30 which is much easier swap or something more radical like VH45, VQ35 or 1UZFE?????

i was thinking VQ35 but i am not sure that it would serve me right or not...

what i am looking for is somewhere 650 to 700 on the wheel with good TQ from low rpm till red line..

it would be sunday drive car or occasionally track day car hence i was thinking TQ would be nice to drive.

my car is not GTR hence i dont think that putting in another type of engine would be a waste.

i know alot of ppl will flame me for thinking of putting all those engine into a skyline......

  3. If the bottom line is boost, then as stated you have issues.

You are not seeing peak boost until 5800rpm, thats a bit absurd for 2530's :)

Fix the boost control, fix the output.

Also comparatively, the GT35 is lacking a bit of power. It should be much closer.

    2530's won't make 100rwkw more than a GT35/1.06

A bit more, yes, but that much - no.

oh ya regarding the GT35 that time i have issue with the fuelling where i only can reach till 490 to 500 OTW HP.

on the other hand i never thought that 2530 could do 600 OTW HP. izzit normal for 2530 to do 600 on wheel?

when u are talking about the output, izzit the source of vacumn for the boost controller izzit?

THank you but what do u mean by fix the output?

and does this mean that the 2530 have problem?

Attached is the dyno for new and old turbo

HKS 2530 vs Garrett GT35R Twin scroll 1.06 AR

Do you think the new HKS 2530 turbo is laggy????

Seems that the GT35R is more responsive than the HKS 2530... ermm...

    Would appreciate a good feedback...

NOTE: i have change the fuel pump to Bosch 044 and dump the walbro.... rubbish.... :)

  6. Hi All,

i have just completed my rebuild of my RB26 engine, spec are below

the tuner told me that i can't higher the boost due to the injector has already max at 85% or more. if we would to push 1.5 to 1.6 bar the air fuel will lean down. i have attached the dyno sheet.

The question is that i see some of the forumer here have smaller or similar size of injector but could push a much higher WHP.

Is there any problem with my setting or tuning?

i was hoping to make 550whp - 600whp. i am not sure whether i be at that mark or not.

    Would I?

The main question i wan to find out is that would a single SARD / HKS 280lph in tank pump would be sufficient for such targeted 550whp - 600whp.

Would i need 2 Walbro 255lph for such WHP?

IF 2 Walbro would i need to run 2 6AN fuel line to the front of my car? or a single 6AN will do?

So sorry for such question which i believe thousand of ppl have asked . i was hoping to keep my budget low but i believe WHP doesn't come cheap so i would need to optimize my $$$$

    Cheers

  10. Hi All,

    Sorry for hijacking

Please mind my english. i am new to RB26/30 and i am no engineer or good in maths.

i have been browsing all the posts and topic but i still can't get an exact comfirmation of using RB26 piston in RB30 block.

i have actually ordered a RB30 block and it is on the way now and my planning is this

    RB26 standard head (not deck)

    RB30block (NA)

    Cometic 1.2mm

The question is i have a set of RB26 HKS 87mm forged piston around, can i put it in and what would be the compression be?

i notice that someone actually said that RB26 piston is 0.5mm lower which means that compression would be very low. (please correct me if im wrong)

if base on standard RB26 head + RB26 HKS 87mm + cometic 1.2mm head gasket + standard RB30 NA block

Should i deck the block to get better comp eg 8.7:1? if yes how much should i deck the block?

If not what about if i would to use the standard RB26 86mm piston?

i am so sorry to ask such lame question even after reading all the treads in the forum but still confuse.

    Thanks

  11. RB26 engine

    complete with turbo

    Nismo Oilpump

    injector

    OS giken clutch

RB25 gear box with C's short shifter

R33 GTR engine wiring with dashboard wiring

R33 GTR meter cluster with the original 3 meter at side

    R33 original AFM GTR

All the engine parts are in perfect condition and confirm running condition. The convertion are perfect for R33 GTS becos it is a rear wheel drive configuration. Original 4WD gear still have. The engine have run 40K plus KM and the NISMO Oil Pump is around 5K KM old. Clutch around 70% i would say.

reason for selling is becos i have sold the car and need some cash for my new apartment.

    $5500 for the list.

would arrange shipping to any where. for any extra question and stuff u can contact me at
