  3. Hi guys,

Since putting up above post more than a month ago I've managed to make a spare key so I want to share this information to who ever is thinking of making a spare key for GTR.

Contact ULTIMATE LOCKSMITH (UL) and talk to Daniel on 0400 060 001. He operates as a mobile service and he organised one of his tech to come out this morning.

There is two ways you can do this.

    1. Buy original key, cut and program or

    2. Clone the chip if first option fails. Mine was the latter one due to programming not completing its full cycle for what ever reason.

UL can provide non genuine key with built in transponder/chip for $165 with key cut. UL guarantees it will work. Because I have provided my own key, I only paid $145 with key cut.

Due to unsuccessful outcome of programming of the new key, the tech tried to clone the chip which he did and inserted into the key I have provided. (The red plastic tray on the bottom of main body of the key).

So he handed me the key and I cranked the engine and to my surprise it started.

So give Daniel a call and he will help you to sort out your spare key.

  4. It fits, its a direct bolt on.

The brackets you will buy off Nissan are rubbish and will cost mega dollars. You are better off making your own. Its very easy and will cost you pennies if you do them yourself. I made my own.

Any pics? and how much did it cost you?

  5. Hi Guys,

I have a question in relation to installing a v-spec carbon fibre rear diffuser on a non v-spec gtr. The diffuser do not come with the necessary bracket for one and even if it did, would it fit on non v-spec? Or do you need to fabricate brackets differently to fit?

Any information regarding this is welcomed.
