  1. I'm no auto electrician, but if your alarm was armed and activated when the battery died, you might find that the relay for the immobiliser is still immobilising the ignition system, so therefore you wont be able to start the car. You might have to jump the battery to deactivate the alarm (therefore switching the relay back to allow the ignition).

It depends on whether the relay is normally open or normally closed.

  2. It's been a tough game in automotive dealerships over the last few years.. The super groups like AHG are taking over and squashing most of the competition. My company had 20 or so dealerships a number of years ago, but we've pulled out and sold them all off completely now. Finance is where the money is at - unsurprisingly.. :teehee:

  3. Well apple is worth more than the amount of capital left before they reach the debt limit. It's pretty creative reporting saying that they are worth more! They are simply going to agree on a new debt limit and the issue will be delayed until the situation worsens, or it gets better! The media and the opposition political parties are having a field day with it. I wouldn't get too caught up in the hype.

The US GDP is still almost triple that of the second most powerful economy (China), so they've got a long way to fall in the scheme of world power. Unfortunately the population doesn't see things in such a rosy light. No doubt they will be pissed, but let's face it, they've got a substantially higher standard of living than some of the other super powers out there! (China, India).

Things are definitely set to change over the next 10 years! I think 50 years will be VASTLY different to how they are now!

  6. If you're doing track days then you NEED a fire extinguisher.

I'm selling this simple bracket & extinguisher combo which attaches any standard 1.5kg fire extinguisher to the front bolts of your passenger seat (all models of R33, plus probably others). The extinguisher is within reach when sitting in the drivers seat (sits just below knee level of the passenger), and is perfectly secure.

The extinguisher is fully charged - Type A+B+E - Perfect for track days.

The bracket will accommodate any brand 1.5kg extinguisher.

    Price: $70 ono

    Shipping: Available at buyers expense

  7. You've pretty much answered your own question. It sounds like you've had a look around and seen what they are going for. Depending on km's and condition, $8k sounds about right.

There's lots of threads about buying a non turbo skyline. There's some good points for and against. I'd have a read.

Good luck with your purchase! :ermm:
