I have had a few SMS's about the PowerFC, the unit is still in the mail from Apexi - I hadn't expected so much interest so early on so I seem to have posted a bit early.

  3. I have just sent my powerFC over to Japan to get repaired.

They have replaced the chipboard and sealed it all up as a 'new' unit.

The downside is this took 3 months and I couldnt have the car off the road for that long and bought a Haltech in the meantime.

  4. no on the side of your graph is around 80 kws up to 314 kws and then 2600 rpm up to 6500rpm

it all most looks like he has zoomed in to a full graph just to make the power curve look beter.

Correction - You are right (sorry was late last night when I was looking at this).

The scale gives MORE detail not less.

Anyway I am not going to argue about this, next time the car gets dynoed I will ask for a 0-300 and 0-7000 rpm scale.

  5. why is the power dropping off at 6500 rpm?

is this the max flow of the exhaust housing?

im not disputing its a nice graph, but a few of the figures at the bottom look like they have been fudged a bit.

im curious if you were to pump more boost into it whats the detonation levels like?

regardless it looks like a good thing on a internally standard bottom end.

Power is dropping off because thats is when the tuner released throttle.

We have not reached full potential of this turbo, tuner reckons it has more to go, but on a stock bottom end I did not want to push things.

When my new engine is built, I will up the boost a bit and see how things go.

  6. interesting idea with the 1piece dump/front pipe w/ screamer & the additional pipe to recirculate it for legalness.

roughly how much would you be looking at for one to suit rb20/25 ?

VERY NICE, great welds and looks very neat.

Top idea, I have wanted to have this done for a while - may get something similar to this done when I take my dump pipe off to get some copies made soon.
