    * car owned outright, no financing/encumbrance

    * sold with 2 keys

    The bad:

    * the car vibrates when braking, I suspect the brakes need to be machined as they be warped or were not bedded in properly

    * the front driver's side fender flare is not there

    * the rear boot struts need to be re-gassed

    * the door key lock needs to be replaced, failed robbery attempt

  4. Hi Nick T. I have been looking at the Skoda Octavia RS162 Wagon (DSG) but I am not sure if the smaller boot capacity and front wheel drive will eventually make me regret the purchase (hence the VW Golf R Wagon is attractive, though the boot is only marginally bigger than the Skoda Wagon)

  5. Hi Nick T. (GoldZilla) - yes, open to the Golf R Wolfsburg Wagon. Will aim to check it out in due course

Hi Hugh (66yostagea) - if the new Focus RS comes out in wagon form, that would be sweet

  6. I decided to go and check out the MY2015/2016 Skoda Octavia RS162 wagon. Good quality and well put together wagon. Boot is acceptable but nothing will ever replace/come close to the M35 Stagea wagon (except a VF Commdore maybe)

Also saw a VW Golf R wagon (didn't know that was available for sale now; thought it would sometime next year). What a nice looking wagon!

  7. Hi Nick T (GoldZilla) - agree, I would never get any car with a CVT...manual or DSG (or single gear if Tesla develops an uber wagon of their own)

Hi Val (valf) - been looking on carsales and haven't seen the E55 AMG wagon; that would be an awesome wagon to haul the family around

Hi Lambchops (Wagon_Boy) - my 2002 NM35 Stagea is my everyday daily for the kids. I still enjoy it but yeah very open to other performance oriented wagons. Will keep looking on carsales

  8. Thanks Matt (datmoo) - always liked Audi wagons (will look into that)

    Whilst I love the M35 Stagea (good torquey daily family hauler, 4WD grip and cheap entry point being a 13 year old import), the gearbox is quite frustrating. No harm "carsaling";

Ben (Ben C34), is the calais the 3.6 litre V6?

  9. Hi all,

Would like to know if anyone has:

    • considered changing to
    • previously had
    • driven

    the following wagons

    • Audi B8 A4 2.0 Quattro
    • Holden Commodore VF/VFII SV6/SS/SSV
    • Skoda Octavia RS162
    • Subaru Liberty GT 5Gen
    • Renault Megane GT220
    • Volkswagen Passat R36

    Cheers

  10. So on Sunday i installed my TEIN's which i bought back in April on an impulse buy even though i didn't own a Stagea. I was adamant i was going to buy one and i couldn't complain with the price.

I wasn't sure how to go about installing them but as i took the wheels off i saw how easy the install was. Took me 3 hours which included me changing the oil.

So far i'm very impressed with them and it is sitting 50 mm lower at the front and 25 mm lower in the back. It is very low and i will raise them up a bit and drive on them for about a month and then i will re set the height

    Hi Luis

    Nice car. Few questions

    - did you feel that your car was faster (0-100kmh for example) from the HDi intercooler

    - with the boost controller, pardon my lack of technical intelligence here, I thought it makes no difference given boost is ultimately controlled by the ECU?

    Thanks

  12. That's exactly why I make my own lines to suit. The black Kevlar lines are the best I have found.

Who is game to run the new Hypergear turbo on their M35? Should make over 300awkw on petrol with the right supporting mods.

38mm wastegate and massive turbine flow capability with billet compressor. Should get your whale moving along nicely. :)

    Hi Scott,

What would "happen" if I had you to the swapover and install this without a tune? Or is it mandatory that this requires a tune to get it up and running

  13. I also recently touched base with Mercury Motorsport regarding the Haltech Elite. I was given a number for someone here in Melbourne who uses Haltech products. No promises but he did say to go to his workshop and take it from there.

  14. Thanks Erop. I have been wanting to find out if anyone is using greater than 9.5" width on their M35 Stagea.

I'm thinking of getting either 18 x 10 (+25) or 18 x 10 (+15); most likely will be the (+25) given your rear guards required modification so (+15) will certainly be a struggle

  15. Hi Jerry,

I have the Tanabe Sustec NF coilover on my M35 Stagea (this was already on the car when I purchased it).

If I had stock suspension, I would be going for the BC based on other owner's recommendation. The Tanabe NF Coilover is not damper adjustable and is more suited towards comfort
