    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me where one could get the advertising that was used for the various Skylines over the years???

    Posters, vids, whatever on the Skyline over time. I'm a recent convert and I've never seen anything.

    I heard there was an ad saying something like "WR... what??" in reference to the WRX, for an example.

    I'm proud that I've managed to scrap together the cash for a GTR and my ego always needs constant stroking.

    So if anyone could help, I'd appreciate it!!!

    How's the GTR coming along anyway chief???

    Like all GTR's.... I'm #$%@ing broke and there is sooooo much I wanna dooo!!!!

    Seriously contemplating a 3rd job....

    I hope to post some more pics soon, as I spent the long weekend working out the heavy fine scratches in the paintwork. I can only assume they came from previous owner putting car thru car wash.

    My mate thought I'd had the car resprayed... if thats any guide.... ;)

    Also, I blew a tyre on the highway, almost nothing left of the sidewall.... :wub: OMG

    But "I LOVE IT!!" and to prove a point, I had a line of guys along the side of the road, doing this :ermm: and THAT made me actually go back an hr l8tr and get more :wub:

    There have been rumours for the last 2 years that 98RON is coming but its still not here :wub:

    Once the LRP had been fazed out BP were supposably bringing there BP Ultimate 100RON to Tassie.

    This would not only assist all the local but obviously be a bonus for the local racing community and Targa.

    I haven't heard anymore about this though (maybe Benno or Perry can shed some light) and i hope it is soon (new engine being built :D for the Beast)

    As for using octane boost have a read of this:

    and it would be worth D/L the spec sheet and having a read.

    Now i dont know what car you have, your mods or boost so i cant answer yes or no for booster.

    If your car is stock as a rock then i wouldn't wste your money or time with any form of booster (unless you have really bad knock ;)) as your not reallly going to gain anything.

    If you have wound the boost up a little (or planning to) and you have a couple of mods then it cant hurt to try OB but remember its not a 100% fix for knock and if you get a cheap OB it can actually cause knock!!!

    I have tried alot of the OB's that are on the market and honestly you cant go past Martini.

    Some people will say if your car's not tuned for OB then its a waste of time, other will tell you jsut to use it when you go to the track/strip.

    At the end of the day if your seraching for BIG numbers here in Tassie on pump fuel then you would have to tune with OB but if your just after the occasional squirt with the fella's then go ahead!!!

    If you give us a little more info on your car's mods and what you want to be doing then we can give you a better answer, but at the end of the day its just other people's opinions chief.

    Best way is to get your own :thumbsup:

    Just wanted to know if there is anywhere in hobart that you can get 98 RON fuel, or is it still unavailable?

    Also does anyone use octane booster in their cars?

    I was considering using some but wasn't sure if its going to cause any damage to the engine etc.

    Not in Hobart, but according to RACT, a competing oil company is coming to Tassie and they are bringing 98RON with them. So hopefully, maybe August, probably Xmas.

    As for the other, I'm sure one of the guys on here will point ya in the right direction, I'm too noob to tell ya.... :ermm:

    I got my rims with tyres from QLD to Hobart, door to door delivery through TasFreight for about $170. Needs to be packaged up tho. 2 seperate boxes containing 2 rims each. I am pretty sure these guys need them packaged up. Just go into one of the big stores like Big W, Kmart, K&D etc and they will have boxes from washing machines, tv's etc laying around somewhere they'll give you, does the job perfectly :ermm:

    Sweet guys, really appreciate the info. Special thx to Frigjam for the idea on the boxes, I'll remember that one.

    He also wins the lucky door prize, (...of my eternal thx :D ) as TasFreight will be doing the delivery, since one of my clients (IT night work, as opposed to the day drawing job) has offered to send them to Syd for next to nix, because he already has a pallet going that way anyway.

    G'Day all,

    I want to send back a set rims to Sydney from Hobart. I have no packing for them, which I'll pay for no prob, I just wondered if there is someone that regularly does this kinda gear????

    Cope quoted me $200, which seemed a bit steep, but really have no idea.

    btw the rims are R33 GTR 17x9's (x4)

    Hey guys

    SORRY i've been slack of late and all my time and attention has gone into DrifTas and the upcoming drift day at Basky on May 6.

    I only have black stickers at the moment so if anyone still wants one or the pair then can you let me know and i'll get em out to you ASAP :D

    Again sorry for not getting back to you all about them but it completly slipped my mind until i got a PM lastnight about them :O

    Once this lot is gone then i will look at getting some white ones done but in all honestly i think the black look better for bodykits and the rear 1/4 :(

    Having my SSR 18's put on and new tyres fitted.

    Electronics - Not Sure Where To Post This....

    G'Day Guys,

    I have a 1995 GTR-V and I know you can get a cable to connect to the diagnostics port and link that to a serial or usb port.

    I'm wondering if someone else out there has already tried this and what their setup is????

    From the reading I have done, the diag port can give you all kinds of interesting data on what your car is doing and how its doing it.

    OR is there a better solution can give visual information???

    Pls slap me if this is ...er.. stupid....

    1995 R33 GTR-Vspec - goes like a F1 and sticks round corners like it on rails....

    RB26DETT (Dont ya love twins....)

    Only just arrived from Tokyo.. so really not much, after-market shocks, Momo steering wheel (so comfy..), 18" SSR 10.5's yet to go on, 3.5" Exhaust throughout and lastly HKS air filters for the twins :P

    Plans are small at this stage maybe about 10-12k, on... suspension, sound system, brake rotors, new pads, alarm (just a little paranoid), seperated 3" exhaust for the twins... oh yeah... car either detailed or resprayed

    Get my attn, I'll usually stop and chat.... :bunny:

    I think it was about monday / tuesday morning... coming down the brooker toward town (just approaching eski ice / foutain roundabout)

    Not my normal route I usually turnoff at the domain (just after the hockey fields) cause, I free park up there, til I sort something out.

    Anyway, no matter, we will meet sometime soon... :starwars:
