  1. So today was the day. This is a G25-660 0.92 on a 30+ year old unopened RB26 with unknown kms. Green is my previous tune using factory R34 GTR twins. My tuner seems to think that there would be another 40ish kw in it with e85 on similar boost.

I had the pressure source coming from the comp cover when I probably should have had it coming from the plenum (before throttles) as I did previously. I think this at least contributed to the boost taper. (Hits 18 sofltly and tapers to 16)

This was done with a 6 Boost manifold, 4" dump into a 3.5" system. I don't know how hard he leaned on the gate pressure setting (eBoost Street) but boost response doesn't look overly impressive by these graphs. 130kmph is just under 4500 if the calcs are right (643mm rolling diam tyre, 4.11s, 4th gear 1:1)

I cant stand the waste gate cycling sound that the EBC and the screamer make. It sounds sooooo good on gate pressure with no pulsing so I might be back to sort something out soon.

Peak power was at 8000rpm. Retains factory 8200 rpm limiter

  2. There seems to be limited information so far but it looks like the exhaust inlet/outlet location between g25 and g30 look to be identical, making at least the rear section of the turbo able to be swapped without modification to the exhaust. This should put the core in the same location too.

Very interested to see how the G30 based turbos compare to the GT30 based turbos in terms of response. Im expecting response somewhere between GT30 and GT35 in comparable housing sizes...time will tell

  3. I will be putting a G25-660 0.92 on my RB26 soon.

My inspiration was my missus' 25 neo with a GT3076r 0.82. makes 297kw on 19psi. Thing is a torque monster. (9.5:1 probably helps)

The g25 660 with the 0.92 looks comparable to the GT3076r but seems to have the edge in turbine flow, compressor flow and spool.

Will be interesting with stock unopened 25+ year old RB26. Breathes pretty heavily but doesn't use a noticeable amount of oil. Compression on No. 4 is 130psi, rest are 140. Probably wont push it past 20psi just to keep it together. Has been making 270kw for last 5 years with 34 factory twins. If i get a year out of it I will be happy.

Have all the goodies ready to go, everything is a little overkill with room to improve when I build a motor

    g25 660 0.92 from ATS

    6boost mani

    50mm gate

    ID1050x

    Nistune

    pmas hpx-n1

    3.5" turbo back

3/8 PTFE fuel lines/filter/reg/rail sized to suite E85. Will be tuned on 98 only  for now.

  4. Thanks for the replies guys.

I ended up opening up the loom

Each injector has 2 wires going to it - 1 of my wires was a different colour than described in in the pin-out pdf floating around. This was throwing me out at first

The wires have silver dots stamped on them:

2 dots - signal from ecu

    1 dot - power

Chopped all the 1 dot power wires and wired them into the ballast resistor, taped the unused ends up and hooked up 12+ Ign to the ballast

Fired up first time ;) huge relief.

  5. would love to get this running tomorrow guys.

from what I understand, when putting an rb26 into a gts-t you still need to wire in the resistor ballast into the 26 loom?

I don't have a common power feed for my injectors like in the 20 loom (shown in the wiring up GTR injectors to rb20 tutorial). each injector wire seems to run separately.

Surely someone knows what im on about here

    Thanks
