  1. great thread. great pics. great stories.

read it front to back. I can't wait to get back there (seriously considered moving there) :P

    NO autobachs pics?

Here's some of mine, even though they're crap. AUTOBACHS IS HEAVEN :D:) these are the only ones I could really get before getting asked not to take photos. Prolly worried we'll see how much we get ripped off over here haha. (Nismo diff oil there = 28 bucks a litre... here.. you'll pay 80 +)

  2. well I work at inghams processing plant in cleveland (SEQ).

there's a VERY nice looking 32 gtr (to my knowledge it had driver's side damage until a few weeks ago?) and it was under a cover.

these days I see it, it's not covered and it's god damn hot. I am yet to get out of my car and look at it closely as I think it may come across as suss. but I admire it every time I come to work (I'm PM shift, annexe).

If anyone knows who owns this, or the owner reads this. feel free to PM me or msn me : [email protected]

I'm buying a gtr late this year or early next year and would love to chat about 32 GTR's as I hate not knowing things :P

    thanks.

  3. This question goes out to those 32 GTR owners who have experienced both a normal GTR and a V Spec GTR. (prefer it if you got to push both cars)

Is it worth spending the extra cash and getting a V Spec model?

The car will be daily driven (about a tank of fuel a week at the most) but the car will also be modified to suit circuit racing ( QR Sprints as well as some possible hill climb events and other various track days). Looking to upgrade power to about 300AWKW. I am aware that the V Spec's don't offer anything extra in the GO GO department (not like an N1 model might) but in terms of stopping and turning... is it worth it? Or would I be better off getting a GTR, upgrading the suspension and brakes and possibly the attessa if I can (I will be fitting an attessa controller anyway).

    Thanks guys. :)

  4. I am buying the GTR for a daily driver. It will probably see a week or more out of a tank of fuel (current tank last almost 2 weeks) as I live about 4mins drive to work (from stop to stop) and I don't tend to do much extra driving (work 6 days a week, 3pm to midnight or later, like to spend sunday's at home).

However, I plan to participate in the Queensland Raceway Sprints and some other track days every now and then when time / money permits.

Earn 1k a week after tax.

Wanted a V Spec simply because I thought it would be better for track days. (and so I can go "yer it's a v spec :) " )

  5. ALL GTR'S ARE EXPENSIVE TO FIX.

 you should know that by now.

as for the age. I'm getting a 94 model because like you I was slightly concerned with that. But seriously, anything old can be upgraded or replaced. If the interior gets tired, re trim it. If the body is in bad nic, re do it.

    Everything comes down to money.

  6. or get an attessa controller bluprint

advantages the 32 has over the 33.

stock, the 32 beats the 33 performance wise.

obviously the 33 has slightly more responsive handling etc due to steering upgrades etc.

but the 33 interior is a bit, disappointing really.

I have been looking at both recently and read many reviews. They say out of all 3 gtr's, the 32 is the most chuckable, and it's also the most fun to drive out of all 3.

Match that with good prices, great performance, the best looks IMO (34's rank second just because they're so aggressive but I think they are too big) and the ability to pop the fuse (if you want) then you have a great car.

Attessa controllers to disable the front drive on 33's and 34's CAN be expensive, but I would view it as an investment to greater handling at the same time as you could then tweak the 4WD better and create a better handling car for road / circuit use.

GO THE 32  I am.

  7. i am completely with stink.

I'm looking to import late this year (perhaps it can be my xmas present to myself :( ).

And so far I think that I will most likely get the importers to find a car for me over in japan and ship it over vs picking one from a yard.

They have a 32 GTR V spec coming in late this month and i'm going for a look at that. Might see if I can take it for a little drive (they're in an industrial estate) to see if I actually like the way a 32 drives ( as if I won't) haha.

    Importing is a major risk.

But I don't recommend buying privately.

Buying from a yard means higher prices alot of the time.

  8. changes are

    bbs rims to accomodate brembos

    brembos front and rear

different spec ATTESSA 4wd system (faster and more agressive)

    under car bracing

different suspension settings , much firmer and slightly lower

from experiencing my 33 vspec vs the normal 32 gtrs the brembos are well worth it , i found the 32s a bit under braked particularly if rotors are getting on a bitu

    THANKYOU.

and yes, what were you doing in the 32? haha.

thanks for clearing that up though mate :(

  9. Please inform me of the differences between a normal 32 GTR and the V Spec Models

AFAIK - the V spec (from memory, which is bad) had something slightly different concerning the sump perhaps and maybe the diffs?

Victory Spec is all I remember :)

Thanks for the info guys. I'm looking at importing a 93-94 GTR and have considered getting a V Spec simply because I know there is less of them and therefore the resale may not be so shithouse. (not that I plan to sell).

  10. I ended up just going through the same grommet that carries the bonnet release cable.

Had to stab a little out to make it a slightly more comfy fit :P

ran it behind the accelerator then forwards under the dash to the other side of the car and to the back (PVC PIPING COMES IN HANDY WHEN GETTING FROM CABIN TO BOOT).

    it all runs OK.

  11. OK So I believe my power cable for my amp is 8 gauge perhaps....

I need a grommet in the firewall for it to pass through. The only one I found so far is the one for my bonnet release which has the steel cable passing through it or the one that's just near my air con (but there's no interior access cos of air con shit taking up all the room inside). Any more places that I haven't seen yet??

I got my rca's and rear speaker wires to run up the side of the car under my carpet (it's a pro job, did it myself and you can't see cables anywhere !)

Just need the power to run down the left side of the car now.

Battery is on the right tho. So it'll be crossing the car (under the dash, inside) if I can find a suitable grommet on the right side.

    Thanks guys :D

  12. OK, so if I don't want my GTR getting owned by insurance, I was thinking of just dropping a 26dett into a GTS-T and leaving all the badges the same :D slightly more sleeper.

has anyone here done this conversion and what was you cost of engine by itself and also total cost at end of conversion (I was thinking i could easily sell the 20det or whatever and that would pay for conversion costs with the motor coming out of my pocket).

    Thanks :(
