  1. hurro!

    superlongtime no see

was just poking around on the Herald Sun website, and came across this

thought it might be worthy of a few laughs.

    http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/more-news/hoons-gathering-at-snowy-vic-summit/story-fn7x8me2-1226055924879

He said the car clubs, including Skylines and V8s, were not going for leisurely drives at midnight or 3am.

How many "Skyline" car clubs are there in Victoria?

Wasn't someone around here practicing law a few years ago?

Leading Sen-Constable Graeme Rust from the Yarra Ranges Highway Patrol Unit, you sir, are a big tool who needs to be whacked with a libel stick. :domokun:

  2. You completely contradict yourself.

A bb gun is not lethal. An M16 is.

An Excel is lethal. A GTR is lethal.

It is not a good comparision.

A better one would have been an automatic vs. semi automatic rifle. Both deadly if used in such a way. But one worse.

I didn't contradict myself, you just proved the point I was trying to make.

People have the attitude that a bb gun can't hurt/kill anyone because it's low powered.

I assure you, they can kill, and have killed humans on many many occasions.

  3. .....As its been said before you can still do 180 and go sideways in an excel if you wanted.

Just because it's been said before, doesn't make it a valid comparison.

...a more valid comparison would be something along the lines of...

"which would you rather be standing in front of, in the hands of someone with little experience.... a bb gun, or an M16?"

All vehicles have the potential to be lethal weapons, but a vehicle which can reach high speeds over a short distance is much more likely to cause death or permanent/serious injury to passengers, innocent victims, and the driver who is convinced that "it won't happen to me".

  4. uh-hyuk! down here in victoria we likes our sister punch and our laws stupid? (at windows down being an offence)

No, it's not a stupid law, it's there to protect idiots from themselves.

A perfect example of this would be the 2 year old who went missing, and was later found dead after they climbed into an open vehicle and died because it was too hot in there.

  5. but as much as it sucks to get shit stolen, you did leave your window down. that doesn't help prevent shit like this happening.

    Hallelujah.

    Someone sees the light.

teazn_r33, I assume by your numberplates that you live in Victoria.

Are you aware that in Victoria, it is an offence to leave windows down/doors unlocked on your vehicle while it's unattended?

(It's somewhat hidden, but it's certainly law)

Take some responsibility, you're just as guilty as they are.

By sitting on this kid, you could have injured him.

Sure, you had the right to detain him, but if the child sustained any injury from your actions, you could end up in a whole lot of hot water.

If the parents have good lawyers, prepare to get bent over.

Assault WAY outweighs theft in court.

  6. I forgot about this thread :woot:

A few months ago, due to the frustration of not being able to get higher than rank 2 on P8, I decided it was time to move on to Spyro...

If you're a fan of the traditional Spyro games, don't bother with A New Beginning.

    It's CRAPTACULAR!

You have to watch all the scenes, Sparks can talk (and he's a smart ass, voice is done by David Spade and is ultra annoying)

You can't find a fairy and save the game, you have to play the entire level all the way to the end, or you lose your progress.... which led to having to leave the console on when some levels took several hours to complete.

Spyro has some cool new moves, and can slam things in slow motion, but the new moves didn't make up for how shitty the rest of the game was.

Completed the whole game in about 20 hours, and didn't seem to unlock anything other than credits.

Very disappointed.... especially after waiting for what seemed like an eternity for another Spyro game to come out.

  7. haha....

    2 watts "quad power".

    sounds scary.

It would be handy if they had the insight to make the antennas on the handhelds removable so that a decent antenna could be hooked up without having to mangle the radio to do it.

  8. Don't stress Ash, I get it.

...it seems that one of the questions has since been edited to make it a bit more clear :(

i live in sydney - so i don't know if these rules differ from state to state.

    Yes, they do.

If you live in Sydney, go and ask for info in the NSW section so that you can get the information which relates to you.

No point in changing everything if you don't have to.

  9. i tried searching it... rocket covers " engine detail

... there's no rockets in the engine, so the term "rocket cover" probably wouldn't return too many results. :P

Have a look through some of these for more info.

  10. Read the fist post and you'll see I was referring to that. Thanks.

There was no mention of a boxed pod in the "fist" post.

The officer suggested to return the air filter to stock.

However, jaimzr33 asked about a boxed pod, and was given misleading info.

A boxed pod is perfectly legal. :P
