    cheers

no probs there tim, think I seen a 'swap parts 4 rego' thread somewhere on SAU, might B of interest

PublicEnemy : my version of fast doesn't do that Series but while FAST will let you look up the std diff part no it won't give you a ratio, I'd sujest ya local 4WD club

  2. Hey Paul

    i had the Suzuki RG500 2 Stroker

widow maker i think they called it

had the the worst front brakes ever, was going to do an RGV250 front end swap for the bigger brakes but didnt get around to it

dropped a oil feed line to number 3 cylinder and did some major damage

sold it with my RGV250 to friend and he re-built it

    heres a pic

dude yeah the RG500 was / is awesome too. I nearly brought one of those aswell a while back. i'd still be keen to get my hands on one.

I orginally brought the RGV250 to do a 500 conversion on which guys are making pipes and parts to make the conversion pretty simple. That would be a cool set up. easy 1hp for every 1kg. But the GTR came along so i've canned that for the time being. There will be a few hot RG500 motors getting around now to, most of the speedway mini sprint cars that used to run the 500 motor have now switched to "diesels".

I think the RZ was also nick named the widow maker, certainly not many of em around any more, all been crashed. I've high sided and low sided one of mine. Yeah brakes and suspension is shit. One of mine has a FZR1000 swing arm conversion and also an R1 front end.

The other one has an RGV front end.

The yanks shit bricks over the RG and RZ or RD as it was called in Europe as they were never allowed 2 strokes because of emmission laws. There are a few nice ones in the US, brought in as "parts" from Canada and re assembled.

  3. i don't mind taking one for the team, just need to get a yellow. :domokun:

In reality thou i shouldnt have to do an emissions test. It's pre 86 and the chev is supposed to be running on leaded fuel. Not my fault you cant buy it anymore.

Funny one day my daughter was following behind in her mums car and she asked "why is dads car on fire?" I'm sure the reply she got from the ex would have been something along the lines of "because your dad is an idiot"

Anyway i like it as it draws attention away from sports imports and puts it on SUV owners. Women in there Urban Assault Vehilces IMO are more of a hazard than me in my skyline.

  4. So we're all catching the bus, to avoid stickers, until that DPI statement is released :D

Driving the 1984 small block chev powered Nissan Patrol running a 600 holley (jetted by me) / ski boat profiled cam shaft on 91 octone unleaded and no cat. Blows the biggest flames and shot gun sounding pops on over run from its meter long side pipe you will ever hear or see :)

  5. Hey Nismoid,

well i've all ready ordered the card so thats a bummer. Will see how it goes i think it will be ok for what i want to do.

No particular budget in mind for the headphones. Prefer wireless, over ear and closed design. the Sennheiser RS140 might be a better choice.

Dell system was ~5k. Monitor was a big chunk of that.

  6. I justed ordered from Dell the following setup

    Case: Dell Studio XPS 435

    Motherboard:

CPU & CPU Cooler: Intel i7-920

    RAM: 4x2GB DDR3 SD RAM

Monito: Dell Ultra Sharp 24" 1920x1200

    Graphics Card: 1024mb Radeon HD4870

    HDD(s): 1TB + 320GB

OS Used: Vista Home Ultimate 64bit

Peripherals: Dell wireless keyboard and mouse, Blue Ray drive

Have also ordered a Creative X-Fi Elite Pro PCI Sound Card to go in.

So to take advantage of the sound card what is recommended for head phones?

i've been looking at Sennheiser RF Wireless Stereo SRS Bass Headphones RS130 as they review quite well. I'm a bass junkie will these do the job? Has anyone used them?

More for music than for gaming.

    Cheers

  7. Kahama! pfft I'm happy if roads are actually there..and as for Nzega....arrhhh Nzega land of contrasts, T junction to modern Shinyanga and the bee captial of Tanzania, Tabora, a wonderland of soda shops and salmonella....how do you know of such things? lol. But I digress. they could use a speed camera or two over here. They have no car control...or clue

Wahahahah, missing roads in Kahama. Missed a turn there at night, got lost, wrong way up one way streets. JOY. Best DUI testing facilities eva.

Donkey Cart street racin FTW. The more overloaded the better.
