  1. Surprised no one else saw this. I think it was on Sunday. Totally speculation but I was coming from Belconnen towards Glenloch and I saw a Toyota Turcel that had crashed around where the old traffic lights used to be and was a pretty messed up. Then as I came under the bridge to turn right towards Tuggers, there was an R32 GTST totally munched sitting in the filter lane to Tuggers. When I had seen the Turcel I thought it a bit strange that such a big accident with lots of skid marks and only one car and it seems to me, Mr Skyline (was a reasonably young guy) tried to do a runner, but couldn't get far. I hope not and like I said it is pure speculation, but he had driven a long way from the accident for it to be not on purpose if you know what I mean...

    Anyone know any more?

  2. Well, sort of... It starts and drives but its very cranky, definitely needs a new tune.

Not a real Z?? - The Z31 300zx is a true retro cool cruiser mate, there is nothing quite like cruising on a sunny day with the targa roof off... And it didnt break down - it failed its rego inspection

Everything is for sale for the right price...

I was implying I cant talk, my car is basically an R33 Datsun lol. They are certainly good cruisers and a much better daily than a 240/260z, cops to drive but oh so much fun. :)

  3. Hello again!

Not really an update but... I bought a daily driver so if anyone sees me cruising with the top off my new Z31 300zx, give a wave! :)

Ok so its taken a lot longer than I thought it would (due to money shortages and the daily driver failing me) but my cam gears turned up yesterday and the new Z32 AFM should be here today or tomorrow (if Paul comes through for me)...

This all means that Wednesday next week will be the moment of truth (dyno tune - finally). Yay! :ninja:

You told me you had a zed, thats not a real zed and thats why it broke down.... Wait a minute...lol

  4. A huge thanks to everyone that turned up. The row of 32 and 33 GTRs looked great, the biggest lineup of GTRs that I've ever seen the Canberra. It was great the R31 club added to the display for an extra couple of generations. A great turn out by the GTS/Ts as well. The lines were so long Bec could not get a photo that did them all justice.

The day was perfectly balanced by the trio of silver GTRs which half the attendees drooled over. It would have been better to have the silver R32 GTR there, but we just didn't have room in the end.

I'd like to pass on my special thanks to Julian for his immaculate and different R32 that attracted a lot of attention, Jon in the other blue GTR first time attendee and Bob with the 34 and 35 GTRs.

It was great to see Donnon take a lead on the day and organise the display, despite having to move the cars several times and take down tent poles etc they ended up picture perfect.

Thanks to Mic for bringing the (Federal tyres) tent, the shade is essential and really is the focal point of the day and makes it a lot more enjoyable.

Due to the space limitations etc some have suggested organising the club to be located where the SDMA club is located next year. (if we have a next year) All we need to do is discuss with the organising club.

Yeh good work guys, shame us Zs were over in QBN there, so if it is on at Old Parly next year, should be near by.

There is talk of next year being at EPIC. I don't know if this means entry fees and less visitors. You would think that the government could just give an exemption to a massive charity event like this, but hey common sense has no place in Parliamentary square.

Oh and OMG, there is a Mrs Donnan! :/

  5. I'm not sure if JD_R33 went, but I think I spotted him in the Blue GTR followed by a Silver GTST leaving wheels...

Couldn't believe how many cars were out.

Also spotted a Silver R34 GT-T near the SDMA hillclimb Wheels entry behind the tent where an open wheeler was free revving nicely..

That was probly Steady Eddie (Chris).

Spotted like 20 'lines parked on some grass yesterday, dunno wtf they were doing there. :/

  6. Yeh, the handbrake rule is old and always been there, never heard of the leaving the vehicle ruel, but not say it doesnt exist. The shite thing is, it seems every time there is a rumor started, RTA seem to catch hoold of it and implement it. :P or so it seems. eg, I heard a while before coilovers became required to be engineered that they were required to be engineered. A few months later, they implemented it. lol (im sure it started when the discussions started).
