    Sadly the time has come to depart with my Skyline

    as a 4 door is now required.

    It is very clean and i regularly get told the same by strangers.

    I have owned the car for around 4 years and am the 2nd Australian owner

    and was purchased with 60,000 klms on it.

    It has been serviced by Bezerkly Automotive in Wollongong

    who did most of the Skylines in the area and oil has been changed every 5000

    ks.

    The car Features.........

    3 inch Exhaust.....

    Splitfire Panel Filter....

    Eboost Boost controller....

    APEXi Power FC computer and Hand controller Tuned by "Hitman" Engine management on Standard Turbo on 14 Psi 175 RWKW....

    R34 GTT Wheels as seen painted black....

    R32 GTR Front 4 piston brake upgrade....

    GTR Replica front bar....

    GTR Grille and Modified bonnet to suit....

    Spoiler removed and holes welded over and repainted by a panel shop....

    Exceedy Clutch....

    Just Jap Alloy Radiator....

    Silicone Hoses....

    Just Jap aftermarket coils to fix the Skyline Misfire....

    New Leather Gear Boot and handbrake surrounds.....

    Car has been through a full EPA inspection and

    passes the noise (by 1 DB)

    and the emissions test easily.

    All the tests are kept in a folder in the car so

    if you get hassled by the Po-Po or the EPA whilst out and about you can show them the test results

    and avoid the hassle.

  2. Just do the Emissions test with the front mount on it so once its passed you can show the

    paperwork to the EPA / Police if they hassle you in the future.

    I had to take mine to Botany and left it exactly as it was (3 inch Zorst ,Front mount, Power FC etc) and they didnt care

    less what was done to it they just ran it through

    the cycle on the Dyno but said it failed in one Area and even suggested the cat must have been dead so i got a new cat

    and it passed with ease.

    As stated the biggest drama is getting the car booked in in time before the Defect runs out.

  3. just checking that you completly bled the cooling system after you changed them .. as air pockets will read as a high temp spot that can cause fast fluctuations in teh temp readings

    Yeah gave it a good bleed both times.

    I am thinking that that wierd little 3 pronged cage thing on the thermostat is sticking in the sleeve in the block that it runs in

    causing thermostat to not easily open.

    Have had thermostat out and wont even get up to 60 c

  4. Has anybody had any dramas with seemingly dodgy Thermostats?

    I replaced my water pump awhile ago and put a new thermostat in at the same time and it will sometimes get up to 110 C

    on the Power FC readout then will suddenly drop down to 85 c for awhile then climb back up to 110 and so on.

    (radiator is reasonably new Aluminium) So i figure the Trident thermostat i bought was a bit dodgy so i put a new one in today

    and now the freakin thing is getting up to 119C before it drops back down slightly at wich point the bottom rad hose was all but cold!

    Surely i couldnt be that unlucky to have scored 2 dud thermostats?

    Anybody else had similar probs?

    PS has all new rad hoses as well and theyare not closing up or anything either.
