  1. Japanese digital tv box. Rip it and fit a local one in its place. Can supply on to you if you want.

Thanks Chris. Model is DTV-M11T. Is there anything else that can be plugged into its position that could be controlled from the dash? Like a media player or the like? Is the other TV box an analogue unit?

  2. Help please guys. Been exploring the new cars electronics and need some help working out what I have and what I can do with it. Some pics below.

So what I can gather when playing with the screen is that there are 2 TV boxes. When I select TV on the dash I get the factory box like below (TV Auto in top left corner).

When I select the TV/Japanese characters option on the screen I get the following (TV Manual)

I assume this is still the factory box but with manual selections. Select it again and I get the second tuner (I assume) Looks like this:

Anyone come across this before? Is there any other control boxes hidden in the wiring because the multi-selector on the dash controls this TV box?

    Thanks in advance..

  3. If it is a bose HU in a non-bose system, the HU can be modified to turn it into a 'non-bose' HU, but it isn't easy. It also shouldn't be distorting.

The biggest issue is the non-bose HU had a larger fanned heat sink for the audio amp IC. The Bose HU doesn't.

Thanks for the reply. Driving around town I doubt it will be a problem but at 110 kph, it just isnt loud enough to hear clearly. Are there any instructions regarding modifying it? And will that raise the volume?

  4. Hi All,

I have a unique problem with my new V35 Coupe. It had a JDM double DIN unit in it that was removed and replaced with a Bose premium head unit. The car is originally a non-premium spec car so had no amp. Problem I have now on getting the car is the audio is too low to hear at highway speeds (as there is no amp) and just distorts if I try and turn it up. I can get to about 21 on the volume scale before it distorts but the volume is just too low.

I am not after any top end audio system, just something for everyday driving to and from work etc. Any ideas on how to sort this out without removing the lot and going to a JDM DD or something similar? I was thinking of somehow putting a small amp in to boost levels to an acceptable volume.

    Your help is much appreciated.

  5. Hi all,

I need some info/help about the V35. I am trying to convince the other half that a V35 coupe would make a great addition to our family. In order to do that, I need dome info about the height of the car off the road in standard trim. I want to know the height of the drivers seat cushion off the road in both the sedan and coupe with standard springs. I know the seats can go up and down to some extent so if I can get the lowest and highest point for each car, that would be awesome.

    Thanks in advance.
